The 20 Best Concert Tours of 2015

BY TER STAFF

Best Tours

2015 saw a lot of great concert tours, from J. Cole’s Forest Hills Drive Tour with Big Sean, YG and Jeremih to Taylor Swift’s huge 1989 World Tour. Some tours sold out stadiums and arenas, selling out the entire tour before it even begun, and some tours were in small intimate venues, either strategically or because simple supply and demand. Some had stacked lineups top to bottom and some introduced us to a lot of great new artists. Festivals like Lollapalooza, Bonnaroo and Coachella were bigger than ever this year, but that didn’t stop your favorite artists from building up some great shows of their own.

Seven years ago, Bridgeview, IL started trying to move people out of lengthy haunted house lines and into bass and treble filled concert venues in Chicago. Something worked. What started as a generally modest concert idea has transformed into a weekend that should be on any music fan’s radar. Three days that must’ve come into contact with some sort of space-time-continuum allowing for over 75 artists to take the stages. Oh yea and it’s on Halloween weekend: October 30th – November 1st. The only seemingly possibly way to not enjoy the weekend is to not be there. To start picking and choosing the best artists making an appearance would be an exercise in futility so instead, hit the jump for our list of artists we are most excited for. And don’t wait until the fall, get your tickets now while you still can!

And while there are a lot of great bars out there, a lot of rappers are sleeping on some epic pop culture real estate. So that’s why we compiled our own list of 15 pop culture references that your favorite rapper is sleeping on.

Slated for September 10-12, this year’s edition of the artistic celebration will feature 160 acts spread throughout 12 venues in the state capital of Raleigh. Previous lineups have included various names such as Big Boi, Jamie xx, How To Dress Well, St. Vincent, Local Natives, Action Bronson, and a host of others, so it’s no surprise this year’s imprint is poised to be just as diverse. For those who have logged onto a computer within the past few days, the escalating beef between Meek Mill and Drake is likely not breaking news. Meek’s accusations of Drake employing ghostwriters set off a firestorm that went from bad to worse over a sprawling series of tweets, and as of now, it’s only spreading as other rappers attempt to insert their two cents. No one can truly confirm whether or not an individual in the shadows penned lyrics for the head of OVO, but fortunately, there are certain lines only Drake could have crafted. In order to help figure out where those lyrics reside, we’ve compiled 10 tracks that definitely came from the mind of Canada’s finest.
