About Us

The Early Registration is a Chicago-based online entertainment publication devoted to music news, and most recently sports, with the launch of The Early Registration Sports. We cover a broad base of music genres including rap/hip-hop, pop, indie-rock, electronic dance music, and various other genres. With a diverse staff of several young writers and photographers, The Early Registration aims to give its readers the newest stories and coverage in music and sports before all other publications.

Since our 2014 launch we have catapulted into the music and sports worlds. We have done press and photos at some of the world’s largest music festivals (Coachella, Lollapalooza, Bonnaroo, Summerfest), took photos of some of your favorite artists (Kanye West, Drake, Taylor Swift, Eminem, Outkast, Ed Sheeran, The Foo Fighters, Neil Young, Kings of Leon), interviewed some of your favorite veteran and emerging performers across many different genres (Big Sean, Talib Kweli, Jack Antonoff, Royal Blood, Alessia Cara, Martin Garrix), and we have now covered some of your favorite sports teams on-field (Wisconsin Badgers).
