Zayn Planning First Major Solo Tour In Support of New Album

Despite a successful start to his solo career and a huge No. 2 record with Taylor Swift, Zayn Malik has yet to take his music and debut album on the road. While his former One Direction bandmates, like Harry Styles and Niall Horan, have performed a plethora of tour dates and radio shows, Zayn has had very limited time on stage since leaving 1D.

But that may soon change, as Zayn revealed to Billboard that he is planning a major tour in support of his new album. With levels of anxiety that have caused Zayn to cancel a number of international performances, and which has certainly delayed a potential tour, this news is huge for Malik’s fans.

We can’t wait to see what Zayn has in store next.

One Direction’s Liam Payne surprised fans today as the ‘Strip That Down’ singer announced the release of his forthcoming single, ‘Bedroom Floor’.

Also taking to Instagram to share a snippet of the upcoming track, ‘Bedroom Floor’ will drop this Friday and fans can already pre-save the song now on Spotify.

Niall Horan Announces Second Single, “Slow Hands”

When we caught Niall Horan’s special performance of his debut single ‘This Town’ at the iHeartRadio “Jingle Ball”, the One Direction singer joked that he wished he had more than just one song to perform. Well, in just a matter of days, Niall will soon have two songs to perform, as he announced his sophomore single hours ago.

Titled ‘Slow Hands’, Horan’s follow up to his successful track ‘This Town’, will be available for ears everywhere on May 4th, just a few days away!

Harry Styles Will Release His Self-Titled Debut Album on May 12th

While it originally appeared as if Harry Styles was late to the party, when it came to One Direction members releasing their solo music, Harry has gained a ton of momentum this month. Not only did Styles release his debut single, ‘Sign of the Times’, which is already getting a lot of praise and love on the radio, but Styles has also announced the title and release date of his debut LP.

Fans will not have to wait much longer, as the former face of the mega-successful pop band will release his self-titled debut album, Harry Styles, on May 12th, via Columbia Records. The singer also shared the 10-song tracklist for the upcoming LP.

Harry Styles Shares Debut Single, “Sign of the Times”, Ahead of Saturday Night Live Performance

Ahead of his performance on Saturday Night Live, Harry Styles has shared his debut single, ‘Sign of the Times’. Totally different from his music with One Direction, Styles’ debut track has a Bowie vibe and a folk sound that differs from the pop music he is used to making.

Although Zayn received a lot of backlash from fans and his former band mates for going solo to pursue music that is more true to himself, it is interesting to see how the solo music from each band member thus far differs from the group’s music of the past.

We are certainly digging the new track! And if you like what you hear, Styles will perform ‘Sign of the Times’ and another new track, April 15th on Saturday Night Live.

One Direction’s Niall Horan Launches Solo Career with Debut Single, “This Town”

Joining his former One Direction bandmates, Harry Styles, Liam Payne and Zayn Malik, singer Niall Horan has launched his solo career, with Capitol Records. Sharing his debut single ‘This Town’, Niall has took a step away from 1D’s pop sound, with a more stripped down indie record. If you were a huge One Direction fan, or if your a fan of Ed Sheeran, you’ll likely love this new record.

“I’m excited to announce I have signed a record deal with Capitol Records USA and released my first solo song.
Thank you to all the One Direction fans for your love and support as always.
I’m looking forward to the next part of this journey together.” – Niall Horan

One Direction’s Liam Payne Signs Solo Deal with Capitol Records

Joining Harry Styles and Zayn Malik, One Direction’s Liam Payne is now the third member/former member of the hit group to sign a solo record deal. Earlier this morning Liam took to his official Instagram account to announce to fans that he has signed a deal with Capitol Records. “Very happy to have signed to my new record label Capitol Records. They have such an amazing history of artists, I hope I can follow in the footsteps,” Payne wrote to fans. “One Direction will always be my home and family byt I’m very excited to see what this chapter brings.”

While many may be upset that this is another dagger, making One Direction’s current hiatus a potential indefinite breakup, it will certainly be interesting to see how Payne’s solo music will sound, as he was definitely one of the stand out singers from the ‘What Makes You Beautiful’ group.

New Music: Zayn – “PILLOWTALK”

It took just one single for Zayn Malik to seperate his sound from that of his former group, One Direction. While the rest of his former band are just now figuring out what’s next, Malik, now simply under the name “ZAYN”, has a head start on his solo career. His new record and visuals ‘PILLOWTALK’ are not only something that 1D would never get a green light from the label to put out, but it’s a great and seductive first record, and a window into what we can expect for Zayn’s new sound. 

And not only is the record itself hot, but the music video to go with it is steamy as well. Directed by Bouha Kazmi, Zayn co-stars in the video across from rumored girlfriend, model Gigi Hadid. While the kiss the two share will definitely keep people talking, it’s the music itself that makes this track special.

Narrowing down 365 days of great music to a list of 30 records is near impossible, but we figured it out! With a lot of amazing tracks not making the cut, we have put together our list of the 30 best tracks of this past year. From epic collaborations to Soundcloud released diss records, our list has a little bit of everything. A few veterans dominated our list this year, but a lot of emerging artists found spots high on our list as well. The Top 30 Albums of 2015

Following an arguably weak year for albums, 2015 has seen a lot of great projects and many unexpected ones as well. While this year we saw the highly anticipated return of Adele, patient fans are still awaiting Frank Ocean’s sophomore album and Kanye West’s Swish. But where Frank and Kanye have left music fans hanging, new comers like Bryson Tiller, Alessia Cara, GoldLink, BOOTS, Halsey and more have put out some great albums to help kick off their relatively young careers. 2015 though was also a great year for some heavyweights, of course we’re referring to artists like Drake, Future, Kendrick Lamar and even pop superstars like One Direction and Justin Bieber. In just one day, November 13th, the music world saw more great releases than it did in a span of months in 2014. Cheers to hoping 2016 delivers as well as 2015 did!
