Narrowing down 365 days of great music to a list of 30 records is near impossible, but we figured it out! With a lot of amazing tracks not making the cut, we have put together our list of the 30 best tracks of this past year. From epic collaborations to Soundcloud released diss records, our list has a little bit of everything. A few veterans dominated our list this year, but a lot of emerging artists found spots high on our list as well. We won’t spoil too much for you, check out the Top 30 Tracks of 2015 below and send us a tweet @TheEarlyReg to tell us what you think!
Is it festival season already? Well… not quite yet, we still have winter to come, but that doesn’t mean we can’t start getting excited for the great musical festivals that 2016 will have to offer. And today fans in Delaware can be that much more excited as Firefly has released its 2016 lineup. The Dover, Delaware’s lineup this year doesn’t look too different from some major festival lineups from 2015, but it certainly sets the tone for what fans will likely see when Coachella, Lollapalooza, & Bonnarro begin to make their own announcements.
Taking place from June 16-19 this year, fans will see some great headlining sets from Mumford & Sons, Kings of Leon, Florence & the Machine, deadmau5 and more. The strength of this festival isn’t just on the top row, as Firefly is inviting a number of great acts irregardless of what set-time and stage they play on. With performances from Ellie Goulding, Blink-182, Tame Impala, A$AP Rocky, Major Lazer, Ludacris, Earth Wind & Fire, Fetty Wap, Vince Staples and many more, Firefly will have something for everyone.
Check out official lineup poster for Firefly 2016 below and be sure to get your passes when they go on sale this Friday (November 20th) at 11AM EST.
Earlier this month we wrapped up our amazing experience during our first year at Coachella. The weekend was surreal, as music fans saw performances from Drake, Lil B, The Weeknd, Tyler the Creator, Toro y Moi, Action Bronson, Raekwon & Ghostface Killah, Vic Mensa, Run The Jewels and many more! While we posted a small selection of our favorite photos last weekend, to share our experience with our readers, we will be posting new photo galleries from Coachella EVERY DAY FOR THE NEXT MONTH. We saw over 30 great performances this past weekend and we will share our collection of photos of each until we run out!
Check out our fifthteenth Coachella Photo Series, of the Florence + The Machine’s Weekend One performance, below.
Just like the rest of the weekend, the end of Coachella’s first weekend definitely did not disappoint. We caught a lot of great sets and of course got a ton of great shots of some of your favorite artists. Sunday fans saw amazing performances from Drake, St. Vincent, Florence + the Machine, Mac DeMarco, Marina and the Diamonds, Angel Olsen, Ryan Adams and more! Drake made out with Madonna! St. Vincent channeled her inner-David Bowie! Florence showed Indio why she is a great score for any major music festival! If you didn’t make it to Coachella this past weekend, and you aren’t going next weekend, you certainly missed out.
Lollapalooza just revealed its 2015 lineup, and this year Chicago’s top music festival will feature headlining performances from Paul McCartney, Metallica, and Florence + the Machine. Festival goers can also see sets from Sam Smith, Bassnectar, The Weeknd, Alt-J, Raury, Travis Scott, Young Thug, A$AP Rocky, Kid Cudi, Tyler the Creator and more! Although the lineup is low on top rap headliners, this year’s lineup certainly competes with 2014’s lineup, which included Outkast, Eminem, Kings of Leon, Arctic Monkeys, Chance the Rapper and more.
This year Lollapalooza runs from July 31st to August 2nd, downtown at Grand Park. You definitely will not want to miss out on Lollapalooza this year and stay tuned for Lolla’s Aftershow schedule (which should release later this summer).
