Moments ago, Metallica announced their huge North American stadium tour. Dubbed The WorldWired Tour, Metallica will kick things off in May, and will make stops in Chicago, Philadelphia, Dallas, Toronto, Los Angeles and more, until the tour concludes on August 16th in Edmonton.
The metal legends won’t be traveling solo either, as Avenged Sevenfold, Volbeat and Gojira will join Metallica for a number of dates on the tour. This surely isn’t a tour that you’ll want to miss out on.
Presale tickets will be available to “Legacy Fan Club” members on Tuesday, February 14th (9:00AM local time), with presale tickets to Met Club members being made available at 11:00AM local time. Tickets for the general public will begin this Friday, February 17th at 10:00AM local time. Each ticket purchased for the tour will also come with a copy of Metallica’s LP, Hardwired…To Self-Destruct.
Check out the dates for The WorldWired tour below.
This month we wrapped up our second straight year at Lollapalooza. And while we already shared some of our favorite moments from the Windy City festival, we wanted to share more photos of some of our favorite performers at Lolla this year. In total we saw a number of great performances from The Weeknd, Sam Smith, Metallica, Kid Cudi, Paul McCartney, A$AP Rocky, Tyler The Creator, Father John Misty and Marina and the Diamonds, just to name a few.
Check out our seventh Lollapalooza Photo Series piece of Metallica’s performance.
We just got back from Lollapalooza 2015 and our second year at Chicago’s premiere music festival was as great as the first! Although a storm brought a brief evacuation to the Windy City festival, no performances where cancelled and fans saw some great sets from Sam Smith, Paul McCartney, The Weeknd, Metallica, A$AP Rocky, Travis Scott (before he was arrested), Logic, Tyler the Creator, Marina and the Diamonds, George Ezra, and many many more.
What sets Bonnaroo aside from other elite music festivals, is its Superjam. For those who don’t know, the Superjam is just that, a huge jam session with some of music’s top artists from many different genres. And this year’s Superjam lineup is stacked! Joining the jam this year, Saturday June 13th at 1:30 AM, is Chance the Rapper, Pretty Lights, Run DMC’s Darryl McDaniels, Metallica’s Rob Trujillo, Reggie Watts, Jamie Lidell, Jack Antonoff (Bleachers, fun.), Eric Krasno, John Medeski, Cherub, and many more! Definitely don’t miss out on The Farm this year.
Lollapalooza just revealed its 2015 lineup, and this year Chicago’s top music festival will feature headlining performances from Paul McCartney, Metallica, and Florence + the Machine. Festival goers can also see sets from Sam Smith, Bassnectar, The Weeknd, Alt-J, Raury, Travis Scott, Young Thug, A$AP Rocky, Kid Cudi, Tyler the Creator and more! Although the lineup is low on top rap headliners, this year’s lineup certainly competes with 2014’s lineup, which included Outkast, Eminem, Kings of Leon, Arctic Monkeys, Chance the Rapper and more.
This year Lollapalooza runs from July 31st to August 2nd, downtown at Grand Park. You definitely will not want to miss out on Lollapalooza this year and stay tuned for Lolla’s Aftershow schedule (which should release later this summer).
