After making headlines for twerking to Fetty Wap’s ‘Trap Queen’ backstage at TIDAL X: 1015, Nicki Minaj called in to Power 105.1’s The Breakfast Club to talk a number of topics, from meeting Lauryn Hill, emerging female MCs, mumble rap and more. But one especially exciting piece of information that came out of the interview is that Nicki has a collaboration with Fetty Wap that will be coming out soon.

When talking about new artists, Minaj told Charlamagne and company, “I love (Fetty’s) melodies, I love Fetty. I did something with Fetty that’s going to come out soon, that I think is super dope.”

While Nicki didn’t reveal the exact details, a classic Nicki verse and a Fetty Wap melody could easily be a hit, so definitely stay tuned.

Amtrak and WGCI delivered last night, as they brought some of the biggest names in rap music to the 2016 Summer Jam. Despite a last minute cancellation from ‘My Wap’ rapper Fetty Wap, the Summer Jam brought a number memorable performances, from Desiigner, Young Jeezy, 2 Chainz, Migos, Plies, Famous Dex, Lil Durk and more, that the Windy City will not soon forget. With Plies for the ladies, Desiigner for the GOOD Music fans, T.I. for the old school rap heads, Migos and 2 Chainz for the crowd’s ATL fix, Jeezy for the marquee and Lil Durk, Katy Got Bandz and Famous Dex for their hometown, the Summer Jam had something and more for everyone in attendance.

While no single act stole the show, one of the night’s best moments came when 2 Chainz reached the end of his set time. Instead of playing by the rules and saying his goodbyes to Chicago, Tity Boi kicked down the LCD screen ticker that read 0:00, and performed until he felt that his set was actually over and dropped the mic before he stepped off stage. 2 Chainz raised the energy levels in the United Center, which set the tone for Jeezy’s headlining performance where he gave one hell of an introduction to Lil Durk, who joined the ‘Put On’ rapper on stage and helped cap off the night. This was definitely a Summer Jam for the ages!

Last night Fetty Wap, Monty and Post Malone brought the Monster Energy Outbreak Tour to Madison, WI. Selling out the historic Orpheum Theatre, located just seconds away from the University of Wisconsin campus, the college crowd got wild for Fetty Wap and company. The night began as a number of emerging artists from Fetty Wap’s team hit the stage, introducing themselves to fans. With everything from singers to rappers to dancers, Fetty Wap’s crew of artists are much more diverse than you’d ever expect.

Next up for the night was rapper/singer Post Malone. Opening with his huge hit track ‘White Iverson’, the Republic Records artist continued his set with his bigger songs from his growing catalogue. Fans are currently awaiting Post Malone’s debut album, but that didn’t stop Madison from getting hype during Post’s performances of ‘Too Young’, ‘TEAR$’ and more. And how do you close your performance when you’re one of the hottest emerging names in rap but with only so many songs to perform? You get the crowd hype again for a second and closing performance of ‘White Iverson’, and surely no one was mad at it.

Finally it was time for the man of the night, Mr. 1738 himself, New Jersey’s best thing since Bruce Springsteen and Lauryn Hill, rapper/singer Fetty Wap. And from the screams of the crowd when Fetty hit the stage, you would not have guessed that just about a year ago Fetty was an artist struggling to get his music out. But last night, in Madison, WI, Fetty Wap might as well have been the biggest name in music because it sure felt like it. The crowd sang every word, from ‘Trap Queen’ to ‘My Way’ to Fetty’s B-Side cuts. And energy was at an all-time high when Fetty brought out his right-hand man, Monty. Fetty’s longtime friend and frequent collaborator is featured on a total of 7 tracks from Fetty Wap’s self-titled debut, so Monty was definitely more than your average hype man. The two rocked the stage all night, giving MadTown a night that they will never forget!

Check out our photos from last night’s show below and make sure get your tickets to a tour stop near you at TicketMaster.com.
