Philadelphia’s premiere music festival, Made In America, is returning for another year of great live music and we are already excited.
Performing at the Benjamin Franklin Parkway in downtown Philly will be names like Meek Mill, Zedd, Diplo, Miguel, Janelle Monae, 6lack, Alessia Cara, Sabrina Claudio, Lil B and more, including huge headlining sets from Nicki Minaj and Post Malone.
While you might expect the two biggest female rappers in the game right now to feud (like they so often do), Nicki Minaj and Cardi B have combined forces by featuring on the Migos’ new track ‘MotorSport’.
Off their forthcoming Culture II album, the follow up to their second studio LP, Culture, ‘MotorSport’ has a dream lineup and it’s a must listen. With Quavo, Cardi, Offset, Take-off and Nicki all on one record, you need to tune in!
Katy Perry has responded to Taylor Swift’s (rumored) diss track, ‘Bad Blood, with one of her own… at least that’s what everyone is speculating. Titled ‘Swish Swish’ and featuring Young Money’s Nicki Minaj, according to many, Perry’s new track takes aim at Swift and Remy Ma (through Nicki’s verse), but don’t expect Perry to confirm that directly. But if the shoe fits, right?
“A tiger, don’t lose no sleep, don’t need opinions, from a shellfish or a sheep”.
While the ‘Roar’ singer is “the tiger” in the lyrics, many believe the sheep represents Swift, as Perry famously tweeted out “Watch out for a sheep in Regina George’s clothing”, a Mean Girls reference that many believed was aimed at T-Swift, when their rivalry was at its peak. We may never received an exact confirmation, but it will certainly be interesting to see if Taylor Swift responds.
Stream ‘Swish Swish’ below and check out the dates for Katy Perry’s forthcoming headlining tour.
After making headlines for twerking to Fetty Wap’s ‘Trap Queen’ backstage at TIDAL X: 1015, Nicki Minaj called in to Power 105.1’s The Breakfast Club to talk a number of topics, from meeting Lauryn Hill, emerging female MCs, mumble rap and more. But one especially exciting piece of information that came out of the interview is that Nicki has a collaboration with Fetty Wap that will be coming out soon.
When talking about new artists, Minaj told Charlamagne and company, “I love (Fetty’s) melodies, I love Fetty. I did something with Fetty that’s going to come out soon, that I think is super dope.”
While Nicki didn’t reveal the exact details, a classic Nicki verse and a Fetty Wap melody could easily be a hit, so definitely stay tuned.

Even Taylor Swift isn’t too big to show a little humility and apologize when she thinks she’s wrong. For a couple days, Taylor and Nicki Minaj had a little bit of bad blood when Taylor Swift was under the impression that Nicki’s anger over a MTV Video Music Award snub (for her ‘Anaconda’ video) was aimed at Swift’s way (who was nominated). Although the two both shared how big of a fan they were of the other, there was some clear tension. The Twitter war should be officially over now, as Swift took to Twitter to send an apology to Minaj. “I thought I was being called out. I missed the point, I misunderstood, then misspoke. I’m sorry, Nicki,” tweeted Swift. You can’t blame a girl for defending herself, right (especially when its Swift and the VMAs)?
Yesterdau, Jay-Z’s new artist-owned streaming service TIDAL held a huge press conference with a lot of star-power. Of course Jay-Z has made a plethora of hits with friend Kanye West and wife Beyonce, but a lot of the collaborations in the room are maybe under your radar. So we took the liberty of creating a huge flowchart and guide to help you follow. In a recent interview with Rolling Stone, Nicki Minaj addressed the chocking and death of Eric Garner by a NYPD officer and her opinion on why black artists sometimes choose not to speak out against racial injustices. Specifically Minaj cited the backlash Kanye West received after his famous “George Bush doesn’t care about black people” quote, when addressing a televised audience during the destruction of Hurricane Katrina in 2005.
Every since the rap world was introduced to the Mississippi-natives Rae Sremmurd, the duo has been hitting the ground running with their very successful tracks ‘No Flex Zone’ and ‘No Type’. Now we have the group’s debut album SremmLife which is 11-tracks and features appearances by Nicki Minaj, Big Sean, and Young Thug and production by Mike Will Made It.
