Michael Jackson – Thriller
This was sort of a tough call, because I had originally reserved this spot for MJ’s fourth solo album Dangerous. However, Thriller won out for the simple fact that it’s title track serves as perhaps the most famous Halloween themed song there is. Thriller is unique from other albums listed because it doesn’t follow one particular sound or message throughout; instead features Michael in what was then, his most creatively ambitious point. This album goes from one feeling to the next, much like the fall is a very…fickle season to say the least.
