Electronic music has made its way west, to the wild wild west, to be specific. Releasing visuals for his ‘We All Fall Down’ record with Jamie Lidell, A-Trak’s new video has a Western bar theme and it’s totally awesome. The new video is directed by Nicolas Randall and features Adam Bartley (“Longmire), a mechanical bull, and of course A-Trak himself. ‘We All Fall Down’ has been consistently getting more and more plays, recently broke into the Top 20 Dance radio, and we certainly don’t expect that momentum to stop anytime soon.

Chicago doesn’t subscribe to the idea that music festivals need to end in the summer, which is why React Present has totally expanded their Halloween music festival this year with Freaky Deaky. And while you purchase your tickets and await it’s full schedule, Freaky Deaky has just announced its daily lineups. Fans on Freaky Deaky’s opening day will be trick or treated to performances from Bassnectar, 2 Chainz, Action Bronson, Flying Lotus, Markus Schulz and many more. On Saturday Armin Van Buuren, Big Gigantic, Logic, Joey Bada$$ and more will hit the state. Then on Sunday, the Windy City will see sets from Chicago’s own Vic Mensa, Pretty Lights, Aluna George, A-Trak, Carnage, Mac Miller and many more.
With appearances from 2 Chainz, Vic Mensa, Flying Lotus, Mac Miller, Logic, Joey Bada$$, Action Bronson and Riff Raff, Freaky Deaky is set to have the biggest rap and hip-hop presence of all Chicago music festivals this year.
Seven years ago, Bridgeview, IL started trying to move people out of lengthy haunted house lines and into bass and treble filled concert venues in Chicago. Something worked. What started as a generally modest concert idea has transformed into a weekend that should be on any music fan’s radar. Three days that must’ve come into contact with some sort of space-time-continuum allowing for over 75 artists to take the stages. Oh yea and it’s on Halloween weekend: October 30th – November 1st. The only seemingly possibly way to not enjoy the weekend is to not be there. To start picking and choosing the best artists making an appearance would be an exercise in futility so instead, hit the jump for our list of artists we are most excited for. And don’t wait until the fall, get your tickets now while you still can!

Returning to the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival this year is Heineken’s “Heineken House” experience. This unique Coachella party will feature a dance floor, drinks and a number of amazing acts. Heineken will also introduce “Your Mix. Your Mash.” where fans can create their own mash-ups as loops to mix their own tracks. After mixing a beat, you can relax while enjoying a game of cornhole with a cold Heineken.
It all boils down to the music though and performing at Heineken’s “ultimate house party” this year will be A-Trak, Questlove, Vice, Hot Dub Time Machine, Keys N Krates, SO SUPER SAM and many more. If you’re going to Coachella this year (and are 21 or over of course) be sure to stop by!
Check out the collaborative project by Wale and A-Trak, titled Festivus (staying consistent with Wale’s Seinfeld theme). The project features 11 tracks and recruits the likes of Chance The Rapper, Ab-Soul, A$AP Ferg, Pusha T and more. Festivus will certainly get fans excited for Wale’s upcoming, The Album About Nothing (coming March 31).
You may remember this collaboration between Low Pros (A-Trak and Lex Luger) and Travi$ Scott from early this year. Today we have the mind binding video to accompany the track. Enjoy the Nate Brown and Gustavo Torres directed video!
