Everyone’s favorite drummer, Questlove, is celebrating the release of his brand new book today. Titled “Mixtape Potluck”, the book imagines a potluck dinner party where he invites over 50 chefs, artists and entertainers and asks them to bring their favorite recipes.
The guest list features names like Carla Hall, Tom Sachs, Fred Armisen, Martha Stewart and many more, and the book pairs each guest with a song that Questlove feels matches their creative energy. The unique concept is a must read for any fan of literature, food or The Roots!

Today marked the second day of Chicago’s North Coast Music Festival in 2015. Coasties on Saturday saw some great performances from The Roots, D’Angelo and the Vanguard, Steve Aoki, Galactic with Macy Gray, Phoebe Ryan, Chromeo and more! We also had the chance to sit down with Chicago’s own, artist/producer Stefan Ponce, for an interview (coming soon). Like Day One, tonight had something for everyone and we made sure to catch it all!
Check out our photos below, of what Day 2 of the North Coast Music Festival had to offer in 2015, and make sure not to miss tomorrow’s artists (Atmosphere, Twin Shadow, Stefan Ponce and many more).
Returning to the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival this year is Heineken’s “Heineken House” experience. This unique Coachella party will feature a dance floor, drinks and a number of amazing acts. Heineken will also introduce “Your Mix. Your Mash.” where fans can create their own mash-ups as loops to mix their own tracks. After mixing a beat, you can relax while enjoying a game of cornhole with a cold Heineken.
It all boils down to the music though and performing at Heineken’s “ultimate house party” this year will be A-Trak, Questlove, Vice, Hot Dub Time Machine, Keys N Krates, SO SUPER SAM and many more. If you’re going to Coachella this year (and are 21 or over of course) be sure to stop by!
