Last week, Mike Posner held an intimate performance of his brand new music on YouTube Livestream. One of the tracks he performed is titled ‘I Took A Pill In Ibizia’, and now the ‘Cooler Than Me’ producer/singer has released the CDQ version of the song. We are definitely loving Posner’s new sound, a big contrast from his hip-hop influence college music from years ago.
Sunday wrapped up our amazing experience during our first year at Coachella. The weekend was surreal, as music fans saw performances from Drake, AC|DC, The Weeknd, Tyler the Creator, FKA Twigs, Vic Mensa, Run The Jewels and many more! Just like the rest of the weekend, the end of Coachella’s first weekend definitely did not disappoint. We caught a lot of great sets and of course got a ton of great shots of some of your favorite artists. Sunday fans saw amazing performances from Drake, St. Vincent, Florence + the Machine, Mac DeMarco, Marina and the Diamonds, Angel Olsen, Ryan Adams and more! Drake made out with Madonna! St. Vincent channeled her inner-David Bowie! Florence showed Indio why she is a great score for any major music festival! If you didn’t make it to Coachella this past weekend, and you aren’t going next weekend, you certainly missed out.
Starring Chance the Rapper and singer Jamila Woods, the ‘Sunday Candy’ short film is a theatrical one-take visual for The Social Experiment’s upcoming release, Surf.
We were confident that Coachella’s Friday kick off could not be topped. Well it looks like we were wrong. This year The Early Registration teamed up with Pigeons & Planes to catch all the best moments of Coachella 2015, and Saturday’s lineup of shows were even better than Friday. Today fans saw performances from Tyler the Creator, The Weeknd, Run the Jewels, Hozier, Toro y Moi, Father John Misty and more!
Wow! What an opening day for Coachella 2015, and The Early Registration teamed up with Pigeons & Planes to catch all the best moments. Kicking off the iconic music festival this year, the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival saw amazing performances from Vic Mensa, Lil B, Alabama Shakes, Azealia Banks, Action Bronson, AC/DC, Tame Impala, Lykke Li and many more! And how are this year’s art installments? They even top last year’s, as the Indio festival spent more money on art in 2015 than ever before.
Chicago trio Hurt Everybody may be the hardest working collective in music (or at least on my Soundcloud home page). Supa Bwe, Mulatto Beats and Carl have a water-like flow of output, and it’s not by any mistake or coincidence. Last month, Supa made a vow to stop being slept on, even if he had to release new music daily. Since that tweet, he’s dropped countless loose tracks, done a handful of features and traveled to SXSW.
Tonight he and his musical accomplices have released a hazy and (as always) ambitious new project titled I Know Where The Light Goes, premiering on FakeShoreDrive. Another testament to Hurt’s work ethic, the project was recorded in just three days. The six-track EP is described as a “manifestation of [Hurt Everybody’s] fascination with light & all of it’s mysteries.” It should also be noted that the production was handled by Mulatto, as well as Green Slime, Zen Zan and others.
