If you’re from the state of Wisconsin or a student from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, then as far as you’re concerned, Summerfest just topped all other music festivals when it comes to surprise guest appearances.
Joining the legendary hip-hop group, House of Pain, for their headlining set at the BMO Harris Pavilion was none other than Bucky The Badger. The UW mascot joined the Los Angeles natives on stage for their hit song, ‘Jump Around’, a track that has been embraced by the University of Wisconsin ever since the school’s memorable 31-24 victory over Drew Brees and the Purdue Boilermakers on October 10, 1998.
Ever since that day, ‘Jump Around’ was a staple for Badger football games and the campus as a whole. House of Pain has played an indirect role in a number of comeback Badger victories in the past two decades, so it was only right that Bucky join the group on stage to show them how Wisconsin likes to party.

Day 2 of Summerfest’s big 50th Anniversary couldn’t have gone better, and music fans in Milwaukee literally got the most bang for their buck, as the festival’s Big Bang fireworks was rescheduled for Thursday after a harsh storm in the area on Wednesday caused the Big Bang’s delay. Unlike other premiere music festivals throughout the country, Summerfest brings an especially diverse list of performers to Milwaukee’s lakefront every year. So to kick things off for The Early Registration’s third straight year at Summerfest, we had to catch a wide variety of acts on day two!

Singers Gallant and Andra Day have teamed up to record a beautiful cover of Smokey Robinson’s classic 1979 track, ‘Cruisin’. As part of his “In The Room” series, which has also featured Sufjan Stevens, Jack Garratt and Seal, Day and Gallant make for a beautiful pairing.
Currently on his U.S. tour, supporting the talented John Legend, the Los Angeles-based singer/songwriting is definitely an artist to watch, this year and next. Gallant’s cover with Day is just another showcase of his remarkable vocals.

Despite saying that Kanye West, “lost all credibility when he became a Kardashian”, Azealia Banks took to Instagram on Sunday to apologize and give praise to Mr. West. In her message to Kanye, Banks wrote “despite whatever jokes or rude things I’ve said about (Kanye) in the past, I think about this man for AT LEAST an hour EVERY SINGLE DAY.”
Banks continued to say, “you’ve inspired so many of us and after getting past my own stupid ass grudge I was holding against you, I reaaaallllly hope and pray you get to get out all ofyour dreams because you’ve been one of, if not, the main reason I felt confident in exploring all sorts of music genres.” Showing a lot of humility in her words, Banks’ tribute is a huge departure from telling Kanye “I don’t even look up to (Kanye) anymore. I look past him,” just last year.

Things got very uncomfortable at the BET Awards when the Migos paid a visit to Complex News‘ “Everyday Struggle” cast yesterday.
After Joe Budden interrupted his co-host, DJ Akademiks, to say that they needed to wrap up the interview, the ‘Pump It Up’ rapper was apparently fed up with Akademiks giving praise to the Migos, who called the ATL trio, “one of (his) favorite groups.”
At that point, the one-hit-wonder shook his head, got up and left. To no surprise, Migos didn’t take kindly to the disrespect and got up to confront Joe Budden. As tensions began to rise, things were eventually broken up. This is already the second time this month that the Everyday Struggle cast struggled to keep their guests cool. Days ago, Vic Mensa and DJ Akademiks had a heated discussion over Akademik’s disrespect to Chicago and the city’s violence.
Watch things get tense between Joe Budden and the Migos below.
