Day 2 of Summerfest’s big 50th Anniversary couldn’t have gone better, and music fans in Milwaukee literally got the most bang for their buck, as the festival’s Big Bang fireworks was rescheduled for Thursday after a harsh storm in the area on Wednesday caused the Big Bang’s delay. Unlike other premiere music festivals throughout the country, Summerfest brings an especially diverse list of performers to Milwaukee’s lakefront every year. So to kick things off for The Early Registration’s third straight year at Summerfest, we had to catch a wide variety of acts on day two!

Summerfest went all out for its huge 50th Anniversary! After the Milwaukee festival announced the release of its lineup last night on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, fans were instantly relieved to see that Summerfest nailed it! Joining its previously announced American Family Insurance Amphitheater headliners, the ground stage headliners which were shared last night also show why Summerfest is a can’t miss festival this year.
This year Summerfest will take place from June 28 – July 2 and July 4 – July 9 at the Summerfest Grounds in Milwaukee, WI, and fans can check here for ticket information. Ticket prices start at just $13 and $90 right now for an 11-day pass, with various promotions that run all festival long. Summerfest is one of the most unique music festivals that the country has to offer, so don’t miss out!

Milwaukee Indie rock band, GGOOLLDD, have announced their new headlining U.S. tour. Led by singer Margaret Butler, GGOOLLDD will kick off their tour at the end of the month, February 24th in Des Moines, IA. The tour will also make stops in St. Louis, New Orleans, Austin, and at a number of festivals, until the tour concludes at the Pedlar’s Jamboree Fest in May.
Certainly one of the best new synth-pop sounds to follow in the new year, GGOOLLDD will certainly continue to grow in 2017.
Tonight marked night 2 ofSummerfest‘s 49th Anniversary celebration.
