Revelry Music & Arts Festival: A 2015 Artists Guide

We just got back from Coachella, and already we are getting excited to travel to our next music festival. While the next fest on our radar is definitely on a smaller scale, that isn’t necessarily a bad thing.

Ever since the 2013 announcement of Madison, Wisconsin’s Revelry Music & Arts Festival, I have been a fan. For years the live artist recruiting by the University of Wisconsin was disappointing, and this is coming from a Badger of seven long years. Revelry changed that, balancing a student-run organization’s budget by drawing in some of the biggest emerging names across several different genres. Sunday wrapped up our amazing experience during our first year at Coachella. The weekend was surreal, as music fans saw performances from Drake, AC|DC, The Weeknd, Tyler the Creator, FKA Twigs, Vic Mensa, Run The Jewels and many more! While we posted a small selection of our favorite photos last weekend, to share our experience with our readers, we will be posting new photo galleries from Coachella EVERY DAY FOR THE NEXT MONTH. We saw over 30 great performances this past weekend and we will share our collection of photos of each until we run out!

Photos: Coachella Day 3 ft. Drake, Florence + the Machine & More!

Just like the rest of the weekend, the end of Coachella’s first weekend definitely did not disappoint. We caught a lot of great sets and of course got a ton of great shots of some of your favorite artists. Sunday fans saw amazing performances from Drake, St. Vincent, Florence + the Machine, Mac DeMarco, Marina and the Diamonds, Angel Olsen, Ryan Adams and more! Drake made out with Madonna! St. Vincent channeled her inner-David Bowie! Florence showed Indio why she is a great score for any major music festival! If you didn’t make it to Coachella this past weekend, and you aren’t going next weekend, you certainly missed out.

We were confident that Coachella’s Friday kick off could not be topped. Well it looks like we were wrong. This year The Early Registration teamed up with Pigeons & Planes to catch all the best moments of Coachella 2015, and Saturday’s lineup of shows were even better than Friday. Wow! What an opening day for Coachella 2015, and The Early Registration teamed up with Pigeons & Planes to catch all the best moments. Kicking off the iconic music festival this year, the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival saw amazing performances from Vic Mensa, Lil B, Alabama Shakes, Azealia Banks, Action Bronson, AC/DC, Tame Impala, Lykke Li and many more! And how are this year’s art installments? They even top last year’s, as the Indio festival spent more money on art in 2015 than ever before.

Photos: Jessie Ware Performs at The Metro in Chicago

Last night English singer/songwriter Jessie Ware brought her 2015 headlining tour to The Metro in Chicago, IL. Performing a number of tracks from her debut Devotion and her critically acclaimed 2014 album Tough Love, Ware put on a great performance for the packed Chicago crowd, with an opening set from R&B singer Jesse Boykins III. Next time the ‘Say You Love Me’ singer comes to a city near you, you will not want to miss out!

Festival Itinerary: Sasquatch 2015

Is there a time of the year better than music festival season? We say no. And we just got even more excited for the upcoming season as Sasquatch! Music Festival announced their full schedule, as well as a few new additions to their lineup. This year Sasquatch takes places from Friday, May 22nd to Monday, May 25th at The Gorge in George, Washington. Fans will see performances from Kendrick Lamar, Lana Del Rey, Modest Mouse, St. Vincent and more (get your tickets here).

The one downfall of any good music festival though is there are too many great sets to catch, with not enough time. If only we could be two (sometimes three) places at once. But now with the full schedule for Sasquatch available for music fans, we have compiled our suggested festival itinerary to help the Pacific Northwest plan out their full Sasquatch experience. Or if you prefer, create your own schedule at Sasquatch’s official website.
