In a vibrant development for indie pop enthusiasts, Jack Antonoff’s celebrated band, Bleachers, has announced an ambitious United States tour for 2024. Kicking off in May, the “From the Studio to the Stage” tour will captivate audiences nationwide, featuring the talented singer-songwriter Samia as the opening act. This much-anticipated tour aligns with the release of Bleachers’ self-titled album, set to debut on March 8, 2024. Additionally, the band plans to grace several UK stages in the same month.

Adding a philanthropic angle to their musical journey, Bleachers has committed to donating a dollar from every ticket sold to the Ally Coalition, a nonprofit co-founded by Antonoff and his sister, Rachel, in 2013. This organization dedicates its efforts to supporting LGBTQ+ youth.

In a special event, the band will perform at the Ally Coalition’s ninth annual talent show at New York University’s Jack H. Skirball Center for the Performing Arts on December 19. In a heartfelt statement to fans, Jack Antonoff emphasized the band’s commitment to transparency and fairness in ticket sales. He assured fans that efforts have been made to limit additional fees and maintain a clear, honest pricing structure for all shows. The tour is not just a series of performances but a personal mission for Antonoff, who seeks to ensure a positive and seamless experience for all attendees.

Bleachers’ upcoming album follows their 2021 release, “Take the Sadness Out of Saturday Night.” The band has been actively engaging their fanbase, releasing the single “Modern Girl” and its music video in September, and introducing a new track, “Alma Mater,” on November 15. Fans eager to secure their spots at these electrifying shows can participate in the pre-sale beginning on December 5, with general sales opening on December 8.

The 20 Best Concert Tours of 2015

Best Tours

2015 saw a lot of great concert tours, from J. Cole’s Forest Hills Drive Tour with Big Sean, YG and Jeremih to Taylor Swift’s huge 1989 World Tour. Some tours sold out stadiums and arenas, selling out the entire tour before it even begun, and some tours were in small intimate venues, either strategically or because simple supply and demand. Some had stacked lineups top to bottom and some introduced us to a lot of great new artists. Festivals like Lollapalooza, Bonnaroo and Coachella were bigger than ever this year, but that didn’t stop your favorite artists from building up some great shows of their own.

Last night Jack Antonoff’s Bleachers rocked the crowd at The Rave in Milwaukee, WI. Performing a number of records from the Bleachers’ debut album Strange Desire, the energy level never dropped during Jack’s set. The highlights of the night though included Bleachers’ encore performances of his Kanye West cover ‘Only One’ and ‘I Wanna Get Better’. Fans even got a taste of new music as Bleachers performed ‘Shadow of the City’, similarly named after Antonoff’s New Jersey music festival (the shadow of New York City).

Interview: Jack Antonoff Talks Vic Mensa, “Only One” Cover, New Album & More

Bonnaroo, more than any other festival of its kind, blends the music and comedy world through its bookings of some of biggest names in both areas. Sometimes the acts are 100% musical, as you don’t hear Billy Joel cracking many jokes in the middle of ‘Piano Man’. Sometimes the acts are nothing but comedy. While Jeff Ross has roasted comedians before, you won’t be hearing him drop any mixtapes in the future (at least I don’t think so). Then finally, sometimes the acts are more in the middle of the two worlds. Childish Gambino’s appearance at Bonnaroo was just about the music, but he still has a successful stand up comedy and television career. Ed Helms is best known for his work on “The Office” and the Hangover series, but he was killing it on the banjo Sunday night. Then you have Jack Antonoff, who isn’t as overtly comical as Ed and Gambino, but who is no stranger to comedy in both his personal and professional life. We met with Jack at Bonnaroo, shortly before he rocked the Tennessee crowd with his indie pop act “Bleachers”, to ask the leading guitarist of “fun.” about the comedy and music worlds, new music, and his forthcoming music festival.
