Last month we speculated whether Big Sean was planning a new tour in promotion of his new Dark Sky Paradise album. Now today, about a month after the first date was announced in Milwaukee and weeks after the announcement of his tour in support of J. Cole, Big Sean has announced a number of dates for a 2015 solo tour. The tour will hit a number of stops throughout North America and will run from March until May, with more dates to be announced in the future. Check out the confirmed dates below!
No two artists quite have the pipes and song-writing talents of John Legend and Sam Smith. And in support of the charity Comic Relief, the two combined talents for a brand new recording of Smith’s single ‘Lay Me Down’. Check out the charitable duet below and buy it now on iTunes. 100% of the profits go to Comic Relief, which aims to change the lives of the poor and vulnerable in the U.K. and Africa. Both Smith and Legend graciously opted-out of receiving any royalties from the proceeds on this one and you can also watch the two perform the track live (for the first and only time) on Friday, March 13 on Comic Relief – Face the Funny via BBC One.

After debuting the highly anticipated song live for the first time at the Brit Awards, and releasing the track on iTunes, fans can now watch the full length video for Kanye West’s new So Help Me God single ‘All Day’. ‘All Day’ has been worked on for a number of months by the likes of Kanye West, Q-Tip, Mike Dean, Vic Mensa, Theophilus London and more but the video is all Kanye. The video is still just a fan recording of its premiere but now you can watch it in its entirety, after a preview was released online yesterday.
There quite a few musicians who look like they be brothers or sisters, and even some that look practically identical. You pretty much can’t watch a Toro y Moi video on YouTube without seeing at least a few people make a Donald Glover (Childish Gambino) related joke in the comment section. So we wondered what it would be like if some of these doppelgangers got in the studio and actually made a song together. Check out our list of the five musician doppelgangers that need to work together, with some that could maybe happen one day and some which definitely aren’t as likely.
As reported by TMZ, a Migos performance in Albany, NY turned violent as fights broke out, leaving a reported six stabbings. Police initially received the call at 12:50 a.m. and the victims were hospitalized and luckily survived (all with non-critical injuries). No word yet on suspects for the incident. Definitely be safe when you go to a Migos show!
In what may have been the hypest concert that Wisconsin has ever seen, G.O.O.D. Music’s Travis Scott and Rich Gang rapper Young Thug brought their energetic Rodeo Tour to The Rave in Milwaukee. After a turnt set by Atlanta producer/DJ Metro Boomin, to keep the crowd live, Scott and Thugger tag teamed sets, each performing a few songs at a time, and also performing a number of their collaborations together. Possibly the highlight of the night was when the two performed Travis Scott’s track ‘Mamacita’, off Scott’s Days Before Rodeo project (one of our top projects of 2014). Check out our photos below, as The Early Registration was there to catch the best moments of the night, and if they are coming to a city near you do not miss out.
We aren’t sure what the track is for, when it was recorded, how it leaked, or even its title… but a new Jay Electronica track has surfaced online. Although the leak isn’t the best quality, fans have been anxious for new music from Jay Electronica for years, ever since the New Orleans rapper signed to Jay-Z’s Roc Nation in 2010. The lyrics are hard and the record even has a sample from Jay-Z, which all makes us even more anxious for Jay Electronica’s debut project on Roc Nation. Stay tuned as we learn more about the track and await a CDQ version, but until then stream it below.
Some say music videos are a lost art. With MTV and VH1 airing more reality TV programs than actual music videos, it is no surprise that a lot of artists have abandoned the music video route of promotion. Not all artists fortunately. A lot of big artists know that fans crave visuals, even if they are streaming it from their phone or iPad. And a lot of emerging artists know that dope visuals going viral are a great way to gain exposure and put your name on the map. For our best music videos of 2015 (so far), which include selections from Raury, Childish Gambino, Kanye, WebsterX and more, we have a mix of both. Check out our picks and see who got our number one spot.
