Yesterday marked the second day of Chicago’s Freaky Deaky 2016. With everyone in their best Halloween costumes, fans were prepared to keep the momentum going from the memorable opening night on Friday. Now in its second year at its new location at Toyota Park, fall’s elite Chicago music festival delivered again this year! Freaky Deaky fans last night saw sets from DJ Khaled, A$AP Ferg, iLoveMakonnen, Metro Boomin and many more, and we were there to capture the best moments.

Revelry Music Festival 2016 In Photos: iLoveMakonnen, Hudson Mohawke, WebsterX & More

Madison’s Revelry Music and Arts Festival has evolved year after year, and while it’s style and location have changed on multiple occasions, one thing that’s consistent is that it always supplies the students of the University of Wisconsin with some great music. Last year was our first year on-site for Revelry, where fans saw great performances from Chance The Rapper, The Chainsmokers, Mick Jenkins and AlunaGeorge, just to name a few. This year’s stellar lineup was no exception to the great lineups of the past. Now hitting stage at Madison’s historic Orpheum TheatreRevelry saw some great sets from ‘Tuesday’ rapper/singer and OVO Sound artist iLoveMakonnen, GOOD Music‘s Hudson Mohawke, Milwaukee’s talented emerging artist WebsterX, a surprise appearance from IshDARR, Minnesota rapper Finding Novyon, and many more!

Revelry Music Festival Announces 2016 Lineup

After a huge 2015 for the Madison festival with a memorable headlining set from Chance The Rapper, the University of Wisconsin’s Revelry Music Festival has now revealed its 2016 lineup. This year the festival, which will take place at Madison’s historic Orpheum Theatre on April 30th (the same day as Madison’s infamous Mifflin Block Party), will feature performances from ‘Tuesday’ singer/rapper and OVO signee iLoveMakonnen, Kanye West’s GOOD Music producer Hudson Mohawke, Wisconsin’s own rapper WebsterX and more!

Last night, OVO Sound‘s iLoveMakonnen rapped for a packed Chicago crowd at The Metro. Performing his hit song ‘Tuesday’, as well as a number of his Drink More Water tracks, Makonnen definitely delivered. Chicago fans also saw a great opening performance from Atlanta rapper, Key!, as well as a DJ set from Makonnen’s producer, Sonny Digital. Don’t miss Makonnen as he comes back to Chicago this summer for the Pitchfork Music Festival.

Stream iLoveMakonnen’s New “Drink More Water 5” Mixtape

Things probably got awkward after Drake dissed his OVO Sound artist, Atlanta’s “Tuesday” rapper iLoveMakonnen, on his If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late mixtape. But that isn’t stopping Makonnen, as he just released his new Drink More Water 5 mixtape. This 11-track installment of Makonnen’s Drink More Water series has tracks with Migos, Fredo Santana, Rich The Kid and more. Chicago fans will have two chances to catch some of these tracks live as Makonnen will be traveling to the Windy City on his upcoming “Loudest of the Loud” tour, as well as Pitchfork this summer.

Drake has made it a tradition of his own to bring out surprise guests, no matter where he is. In the past, Drizzy has brought out Kanye West, Eminem, 50 Cent, Jay-Z, Justin Bieber, Lil Wayne, TLC, Stevie Wonder, A$AP Rocky, J. Cole, Ma$e, Lauryn Hill… need we go on? So we can’t even begin to imagine who Drake will bring out for arguably the biggest live performance of his career, as he headlines the closing night at the Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival next month.
