OVO Sound singer PARTYNEXTDOOR and labelhead, the 6 God himself, have teamed up again, this time for PND’s smooth new record ‘Come and See Me’. Produced by Drake’s in-house producer, the uber talented 40, and with Drake supplying another quality verse to the new track, it shows again why Drake and PARTYNEXTDOOR make a great team on OVO.
In PND’s new song, he lets out the feelings he has for the R&B singer, Kehlani. The two were in a relationship for a while, until Kehlani claimed she was single in a recent tweet. Titled “Kehlani’s Freestyle”, this follows the footsteps of Drake’s “Bria’s Interlude” and “Cece’s Interlude” where the singing rapper also reveals his feelings towards his past girls. The dreamy beat mixes perfectly with PND’s smooth vocals. Listen to the track below.
Last night OVO Sound‘s PARTYNEXTDOOR brought his North American tour (which closes tonight in Minneapolis) to The Rave in Milwaukee, WI. Performing a number of tracks from his self titled project and its PARTYNEXTDOOR 2 sequel, PND brought his R&B party to the sold-out crowd. Check out our photos below as The Early Registration’s Dan Garcia was there to catch the best moments of the night, and if you’re overseas you can still catch PND’s European leg of the tour (which kicks March 24th in Oslo).
Here at The Early Registration we like to pride ourselves on our music knowledge, to stay polished on our musical expertise our new feature is a little game of musical “6 Degrees”. For those who are unfamiliar, six degrees of separation is the theory that everyone in the world is connected by six or fewer steps, so we are now taking the liberty of connecting musicians by songs and features, who you would never think could be connected. This week our 6˚ piece is in anticipation of comedic rapper Lil Dicky’s upcoming Spring 2015 Professional Rapper Tour, which kicks off next month in California. For those who don’t know, Lil Dicky has received quite the buzz after his ‘Lemme Freak‘ video (one of our favorite videos of 2014), and through his raps LD is on pursuit to become the next LD (Larry David of course). And who better to connect Dicky to than his favorite rapper and fellow non-gentile, Drake? This may be a little hard as Dicky has only been rapping ‘professionally’ for about a year, but we’re up for the challenge.
We were optimistic just hours ago that Drake was releasing a brand new mixtape tonight, well now it looks like he one-upped even our best predictions as Drizzy has just released a surprise album on iTunes. The album, titled If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late (possible shot at angry label heads?) is available now and has features from Lil Wayne, Partynextdoor, and Travis Scott and production from 40, Boi-1da, Vinlyz, Partynextdoor and more! Check out the tracklist below.
About an hour after his new tour dates with Young Thug and Metro Boomin were revealed, G.O.O.D. Music and Grand Hustle artist Travis Scott released his new tracks ‘High Fashion’ with Future and ‘Nothing But Next’ with Young Thug and PartyNextDoor. Travis assured fans that come today that “T won’t let you down” and he was definitely right. Check out the Rodeo Tour dates here and be on the watch for his forthcoming debut album, Rodeo, real soon. Since its the “Rodeo Tour” don’t be surprised if fans get the album before the tour kicks off in March. ‘Nothing But Net’ is produced by Boi-1da and co-produced by TM808 and Travis himself, ‘High Fashion’ is produced by Metro Boomin, stream them below.
A new EP from OVO Sound‘s PARTYNEXTDOOR just may have leaked as four new tracks have appeared online, but not from the source itself as PARTYNEXTDOOR has not yet tweeted about the release. Check out the awesome new tracks below while they are still up and be sure to check him out on his upcoming world tour.
Last night, Canadian crooner and Drake protege PARTYNEXTDOOR tweeted “Stay Up”, which was quickly deleted. The new EP features a guest appearance from Travi$ Scott, as well as Ca$h Out and production from Cardo.
