No one puts on a tour like Kanye West, and after his critically acclaimed Yeezus Tour, fans were more than excited to see how Kanye West could top things next time around. Well the wait will soon be over, as Kanye West has announced “The Saint Pablo Tour”, in support of his most recent LP, The Life Of Pablo. Kicking off Thursday, August 25th in Indianapolis, Ye will make stops in Toronto, Chicago, New York, Detroit, LA and many more until the tour concludes October 29th in Las Vegas’ new T-Mobile arena.
While we don’t know exactly what to expect from Kanye’s forthcoming tour, you can definitely bet that it will be like nothing else we have seen before. His Glow In The Dark and Yeezus tours alike have turned heads and sold out arenas, and The Saint Pablo tour should be no different.
After years of inactivity and speculation on the highly anticipated collaborative album, Kanye West has finally released new music that will be heard on the followup to Kanye’s GOOD Music album Cruel Summer, similarly titled Cruel Winter. Kanye surprised many as he shared the news earlier this morning, moments before he paid a visit to Big Boy’s 92.3 to debut the track. Titled ‘Champion’, as confirmed by Travis Scott on Twitter, the new track is fire and star studded. ‘Champion’ features Kanye West, Gucci Mane, Big Sean, Yo Gotti, 2 Chainz, Quavo (Migos), Travis Scott and GOOD Music‘s newest signee, ‘Panda’ rapper Desiigner.
While Cruel Summer was met with mixed reviews, and expectedly wasn’t as complete as a solo album from Kanye, the album had a number of bangers, and if ‘Champion’ is any indication of what to expect from Cruel Winter, then this sequel will be no exception when it comes to stacked hits and perhaps it may be a step up from Cruel Summer.
Currently the world’s largest music festival, Milwaukee’s Summerfest, has announced all but one of its 11 headlining acts at its Marcus Amphitheatre stage. And while this year’s lineup so far is one of the best in recent years, it is still missing one big thing, a rap and hip/hop presence. Sure, Summerfest is known for its diverse lineup and never has really placed a large emphasis on rap when compared to other major music festivals, but consistently Summerfest always tends to deliver at least one huge rap headliner. Last year Kendrick Lamar blessed the stage, and brought along fellow TDE member, Schoolboy Q. In recent history the likes of Outkast and Kanye West have also all hit stage at Summerfest.
This year we are hoping for a big hip/hop act, and more then ever. A plethora of talented artists like Ryan Adams, Martin Garrix, Rise Against, Passion Pit, The Roots and more are all hitting the ground stages (with ticket prices starting at just $13), but when it comes to a rap presence you have only a couple options (Nelly and Jason DeRulo, the latter being a pop artist). Although artists can be added to the lineup at any time, rap fans in Wisconsin have their fingers crossed for the last Marcus Amphitheatre slot, on June 30th.
We have no idea whether or not the June 30th vacancy will be filled by a rap artist, but in hopes that it is, we have compiled a list of our five best predictions of who that may be!
Drake surprised many this morning as the 6 God took to Twitter to drop two brand new records. First was his Wizkid and Kyla collaboration ‘One Dance’, but even bigger was Drake’s huge and unexpected collaboration with “The Throne”. Titled ‘Pop Style’, Drake recruits Kanye West and Jay Z for his hot new record. Not only is this an all-star collaboration, but this one is sure to get a ton of play.
The records aren’t yet available for streaming to download ‘One Dance’ and ‘Pop Style’ now on iTunes.
Rejoice! Amidst Kanye West sharing his thoughts on the Grammys this afternoon, he slipped in a very very big announcement. Coming this summer, Kanye will be releasing another new album, just months after his latest LP, The Life of Pablo. Of course, Kanye isn’t one to always stick to his original release dates, but either way, this is something to certainly get excited over!
Check out Kanye’s announcement for yourself below.
Don’t be so quick to pick sides. Although Kanye West got a ton of bad press over his song ‘Famous’, where he makes a joke about having sex with Taylor Swift for making that “b*tch famous”, there may be more to the story than many Kanye West haters would like to believe. Initially upon Kanye’s release of his The Life of Pablo album, many Kanye and Taylor fans alike were upset that Kanye would again come after Taylor. But soon after its release, TMZ reported that Kanye West called Taylor many weeks earlier to get her approval. However a rep for Swift soon rebutted those reports, saying Taylor did not give her approval and wasn’t made aware of the actually lyric.
And if Taylor didn’t actually give her approval, and didn’t know the actual lyric, then maybe Kanye should have left it out… But now, according to the Grammy Award‘s producer, Ken Ehrlich, Taylor Swift not only knew of the lyric, she even had an advance copy of the track.
“She had an advance of the track (a couple weeks ago),” Ehrlich told Entertainment Tonight.
And instead of clearing things up, with the whole world watching at the Grammys, Swift sent some strongly worded subliminals at Kanye, warning female artists that there will be people (like Kanye) who will try to take credit for your success and your fame. Assuming she did hear the track and didn’t voice her disapproval, it looks like Kanye West isn’t the one (this time) refusing to take the high road, especially since Kanye did not have to get Taylor’s greenlight to begin with.
If you had to give someone a heads up or get their permission to include them into your music, Taylor Swift of all people wouldn’t be as successful as she is today. Don’t worry Taylor, we aren’t saying John Mayer disses are the reason for your fame either, if anything is, it’s the sheer talent!

Kanye West may be the most polarizing artist in music, not only today, but of all time. In that same breath, when Kanye West eventually decides to retire from music, he likely may go down as the best rapper of all-time and perhaps even the best musician of all time. One thing that makes Kanye so great, is not only his ability to consistently put together quality albums, with literally every attempt, but his constant dedication to artistry. While many great artists have no problem sticking to conventional song structure, shying away from controversial lyrics and topics, making songs with broad appeal that will get plenty of radio play, and putting a lot of worry into publicity and their image, Kanye West does none of the above. This is Kanye West’s blessing and his curse. On one hand it plays a role in making him one of the most widely disliked characters in American culture, yet on the other hand, it makes Mr. West a unique boundary pushing visionary and a musical genius. Everything Kanye West says about himself is not only true, but at times, it’s arguably modest. The 21 Grammys, the critical acclaim, the countless number of classic albums, the role he has played in shaping rap, his memorable live performances, it all speaks for itself. Kanye West is the best thing to happen to music since The College Dropout released in 2004, and his new album The Life of Pablo, West’s seventh solo LP, is yet another example of why there is no other artist even close to Kanye West.
After the close of Kanye’s huge fashion show/album streaming event yesterday at New York City’s Madison Square Garden, many were expecting that the album would officially release publicly, whether via iTunes, TIDAL, SoundCloud, anything… However fans were soon disappointed as hours went by and nothing. Fans again got anxious this morning as Kanye released a new GOOD Friday record via SoundCloud, leading many to believe that the album would not soon be released.
However Kanye West fans are really eating today as minutes ago Kanye announced that his next LP, The Life of Pablo, is currently being mastered and will release later today. If TLOP and a new GOOD Friday track weren’t enough, Kanye has even added a couple new tracks to his album’s final tracklist, which now comes in at 17-tracks long.
Check out The Life of Pablo’s final tracklist and stream Kanye’s new GOOD Friday track ’30 Hours’ below.
UPDATE: Kanye has now announced that his album The Life of Pablo is being mastered and will be out today (with a couple news tracks as well)!
Following his huge Madison Square Garden album listening party slash Yeezy Season 3 fashion show, Kanye has released a brand new track via SoundCloud. Although it is still uncertain when his anticipated LP, The Life of Pablo, will release officially, Kanye’s new track ’30 Hours’ is another new G.O.O.D. Friday record. “Now that the album is finally finished it’s back to Good Fridays,” Kanye wrote to fans on Twitter.
While the new record is certainly another quality record that Kanye has officially released this year, it definitely makes fans anxious that The Life of Pablo won’t release today, or perhaps in the immediate future. Many fans anticipated that the album would have released yesterday, soon before or after Kanye’s MSG event, however such was not the case. We won’t complain about new music though, so definitely enjoy the record!
