In a recent interview with Clique, The College Dropout himself, Kanye West, revealed that he is set to receive an honorary doctorate from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago on May 11th this year. Speaking on the arts, West told Clique “I was a gifted artist since age five and won national competitions and went to art school. I’m actually getting an honorary doctorate on May (11th) from the (School of the) Art Institute of Chicago.” From attending Chicago State University and the American Academy of Art before his eventual dropout (which paved the way for his debut album), this summer Mr. West will join his late mother by soon becoming Dr. West (although an honorary doctor of course). In what was just one of the many sessions where Kanye worked on the track, as he had been working on the track since last summer (and perhaps still is), and Diddy even makes a brief appearance to give feedback. It was reported that last night Kanye West’s laptop was stolen in Paris, although sources from Def Jam have since dispelled such rumors. Stolen or not, amidst the reports, a new Kanye West song dedicated to his wife, Kim Kardashian West, has surfaced. This one is titled ‘Awesome’, and stream it below while you still can.

After debuting the highly anticipated song live for the first time at the Brit Awards, and releasing the track on iTunes, fans can now watch the full length video for Kanye West’s new So Help Me God single ‘All Day’. ‘All Day’ has been worked on for a number of months by the likes of Kanye West, Q-Tip, Mike Dean, Vic Mensa, Theophilus London and more but the video is all Kanye. The video is still just a fan recording of its premiere but now you can watch it in its entirety, after a preview was released online yesterday.
It’s not easy to impress Yeezus. From a man who has described himself as being “majorly underwhelmed in general”, he took a few minutes to part the crowd of selfie-stealing fans to take in rapper Jef Jonsin’s performance atop of his own vehicle parked outside of Kanye’s Paris Hotel. Kanye West is notorious for continuing to perfect the mixing and mastering of his tracks, even after their official release. That’s why we weren’t surprised to learn that his new record ‘All Day’ ft. Theophilus London & Allan Kingdom (buy it now on iTunes) has been remastered. As heard on streaming service WiMP (available in select European countries, and recently bid on by Jay-Z), the new mastered version of ‘All Day’ has a few subtle but still noticeable changes. For example, the vocals echo when Kanye says “All Day, n*gga” and synths in the track also stand out more. Minutes ago, we received confirmation (from Biz3 Publicity) that producer Nigel Holt (HOLT) is Kanye West’s newest artist on G.O.O.D. Music. Watch a promotional video below to get yourself excited for the newest signee, who will produce for G.O.O.D. Music.
