These are the highlights of this past week in music! Hopefully you can bump these tracks on your way to work to brighten up your Monday mornings, and to stay up-to-date on today’s music.
This week we have new music from Raekwon and A$AP Rocky, a Jeremih remix by Chance the Rapper and The Social Experiment, a preview of a new Lana Del Rey record, and a Future freestyle by Vic Mensa. Get started at the jump below to check out our favorite records of the past week.
A New York legend and arguably the best new artist out of New York in the past few years join forces for ‘I Got Money’. Wu-Tang Clan’s Raekwon recruited A$AP Rocky for this one, and this has to be one of our favorite guest verses from Rocky of all time. After this collaboration, A$AP may want to step outside his comfort zone more often for non-trap verses, because this record definitely works!
Listen to ‘I Got Money’ below and check out our recent photos from Raekwon and Ghostface Killah’s Weekend One Coachella performance.
A$AP Rocky lost his cool in London, and for good reason. After a man threw something at A$AP Rocky’s car, the pretty motherf*cker got out of his car and followed the man inside a London bagel shop. “Should I (hit) you right now?… I’ll f*ck you up, n*gga” says Rocky in the video.
After a witness reminds ASAP to calm down and that “this is London”, Rocky goes on to say that he loves London. But since the man threw something at Rocky’s car (and we are sure he isn’t pushing a Dodge Neon) we would definitely be just as upset.

Looks like drama is building up between rappers 50 Cent and A$AP Rocky. It all started as A$AP Rocky sent a direct message to 50 Cent’s girl “Tatted Up Holly” over Instagram, where Rocky messaged “HEY LUV, I REALLY LIKE UR STYLE AND WOULD LUV TO BUILD IF UR FREE.”Then after Holly sent the message 50’s way, the rapper put Rocky on blast on his Instagramby posting a screenshot of the DM and the caption “Boy of boy, last time I seen this punk he had a dress on. You cant afford holly I gave her habits, get your weight up first boy. Bentley and better over here n*gga. can you buy that? f*ck you think. I’, Kanye and you Wiz lol.” Nice jab at Wiz too, we must say.
Soon after Rocky was quick to respond on his Twitter, telling 50 that he didn’t know “she was (50’s)” and to “quit acting like a jealous sugar daddy.” Get your popcorn ready and check to see if the tension builds up. Check out the messages below.
You would think since Lil B and Lana Del Rey are so different, that the two could never be connected. Wrong. Here at The Early Registration we like to pride ourselves on our music knowledge, to stay polished on our musical expertise our new feature is a little game of musical “6 Degrees”. For those who are unfamiliar, six degrees of separation is the theory that everyone in the world is connected by six or fewer steps, so we are now taking the liberty of connecting musicians by songs and features, who you would never think could be connected. Check out first 6˚ piece below!

A$AP Rocky had an unfortunately quiet 2014. The good news is that this hopefully means we will get a bunch of new music from “the pretty motherf*cker” in the new year, and to give fans a preview, today Rocky ended his 2014 by giving fans the sequel to one of his first big tracks ‘Pretty Flacko’, simply titled ‘Pretty Flacko 2’. Stream the Nez & Rio produced track below.
This summer, rapper Shy Glizzy started to make a name for himself with his track ‘Awwsome’. Months later, he recruited 2 Chainz and A$AP Rocky to jump on the remix. Enjoy the remix at the jump.
In honor of hockey returning this week and the Chicago Blackhawks 3-2 overtime win tonight against the Dallas Stars, we have compiled a list of some of your favorite rappers and singers rocking some Blackhawks swag. Not sure how many are die hard fans or how many just enjoy the style of the sickest jersey in sports, but either way, enjoy.
