Last night, singer Charles Bradley and his Extraordinaires performed an amazing set at the Subterranean in Chicago, IL. With an energetic opening set from Milwaukee rapper WebsterX, Windy City fans definitely got their money’s worth. WebsterX performed a number of tracks, including his fan favorite ‘doomsday’, and Bradley kept fans entertained with performances from his Victim of Love and No Time For Dreaming records. If you weren’t in Chicago last night, Bradley will be touring the world this summer, while Midwest fans can catch WebsterX at this year’s Summer Set Music & Camping Festival (enter our ticket giveaway here).

This past weekend, Taylor Swift brought her epic 1989 World Tour to Chicago’s Soldier Field. Selling over 100,000 seats in two nights, Taylor’s Chi-town fans saw performances from Shawn Mendes, Vance Joy, Haim, and of course Swift herself. Last night we checked out the tour for ourselves and it was more than memorable! From the light show and fireworks, to the costume changes, and even a surprise appearance from country music’s Sam Hunt, the concert left us speechless. And while two nights at Soldier Field wasn’t quite enough, as both performances sold out, we took some photos while we enjoyed the music, to help share the night to those who were at Pitchfork, another concert, or perhaps just sitting at home.

Mike Posner is currently on the road, traveling across the United States with a few friends while he makes stops in a number of cities for surprise pop-up shows, for crowds of just a couple hundred people. Last night, Posner brought this tour of intimate performances to Chicago’s Lincoln Park, which holds some of the best views of the Chitown skyline. Introduced by his friend and co-writer, Adam Friedman, Mike performed his new EP, The Truth, as well as his catalog of hits (‘Cooler Than Me’, ‘Please Don’t Go’) and even some unheard music from his forthcoming sophomore album. The scenery was beautiful, as Posner and some of his most dedicated fans hung out just before dusk, playing music and sharing laughs.

Last week we interviewed Jon Bellion and DJ White Shadow, as part of their new partnership with W Hotels (check out the full conversation here). After sitting down with the two talented artists, we were invited to Jon’s show later that night at the Bottom Loungein Chicago. Bellion killed it and we got some great shots while he rocked the Chitown crowd!

Milwaukee’sSummerfest 2015, the World’s Largest Music Festival, seemed like it kicked off just yesterday but it’s now over and it definitely delivered. Unlike many other premiere music festivals, Summerfest (which runs until July 5th) brings an especially diverse list of performers to Milwaukee’s lakefront every year, creating for a festival where you can see Kanye West (who performed in 2011) share the same stage as Peter Gabriel and Kid Rock. So to get things started for The Early Registration’s first year at Summerfest, we had to catch a wide variety of acts all festival long.
