It can all be traced back to around 2010 when Joe Budden decided to not follow Lil B on Twitter (see above).

This made for a personally offended Lil B, so he released a diss track aimed at Budden. The beef was later settled but one could argue this was the beginning of the Based God curse and that it still lingers over Budden’s head, being that he just became one of the internet’s biggest overnight meme sensations. I present, kickball Budden. Also, the formed ‘Pump It Up’ rapper today is now reduced to being more a D-List reality TV star than a legitimate MC.
