Likely from his forthcoming album divide (÷), Ed Sheeran will share another new track for fans. Following his singles, ‘Castle On The Hill’ and his hit ‘Shape Of You’, we can expect the new song to make Sheeran 3 for 3 in the new year.
With a new album on the way, currently scheduled for a March 3rd release, and after killing it at the Grammys this past weekend, putting on an amazing one-man show, it is a great time to be Ed Sheeran.

An unlikely pairing and cross-over, Maroon 5 has recruited ‘March Madness’ rapper Future for their new track. Titled ‘Cold’, Adam Levine and company are blessed by a great verse from the Freebandz rapper in their new song.
Although the collaboration was certainly unexpected, Maroon 5 has definitely had success teaming up with rappers in the past, as their single ‘Don’t Wanna Know’ with Kendrick Lamar is still one of the biggest songs in the country. Future isn’t a stranger to working with pop artists either, as Future’s contribution’s on Ariana Grande’s latest LP, for her track ‘Everyday’, is starting to gain a lot of traction on the charts.

In case you missed it, the Grammys threw major shade at singer/songwriter Frank Ocean this past week, as producer Ken Ehrlich suggested that Frank Ocean didn’t submit his critically acclaimed album, Blonde, to the Grammy Awards this year because Frank was embarrassed over his live performance at the 2013 Grammys. And while that reasoning sounds ridiculous, and should leave fans scratching their heads, Frank Ocean decided to respond minutes ago.
Taking to his Tumblr, Frank Ocean responded, saying:
“OK KEN (AND DAVID). AS MUCH AS I HATE TO MAKE YOU GUYS FAMOUS OR EVEN RESPOND TO YOU DIRECTLY. WE ALL DIE ONE DAY AND YOU’RE OLD SO FUCK IT. YEA YEA MY 2013 PERFORMANCE AT THE GRAMMYS WAS ABSOLUTE SHIT. TECHNICAL DIFFICULTIES, BLAH BLAH. THANKS FOR THE REMINDER. VERY MUCH APPRECIATED. FUCK THAT PERFORMANCE THOUGH. YOU THINK THAT’S WHY I KEPT MY WORK OUT OF THE GRAMMY PROCESS THIS YEAR? DON’T YOU THINK I WOULD’VE WANTED TO PLAY THE SHOW TO ‘REDEEM’ MYSELF IF I FELT THAT WAY? IN REALITY, I ACTUALLY WANTED TO PARTICIPATE IN HONORING PRINCE ON THE SHOW BUT THEN I FIGURED MY BEST TRIBUTE TO THAT MAN’S LEGACY WOULD BE TO CONTINUE TO BE MYSELF OUT HERE AND TO BE SUCCESSFUL. WINNING A TV AWARD DOESN’T CHRISTEN ME SUCCESSFUL. IT TOOK ME SOME TIME TO LEARN THAT. I BOUGHT ALL MY MASTERS BACK LAST YEAR IN THE PRIME OF MY CAREER, THAT’S SUCCESSFUL. BLONDE SOLD A MILLION PLUS WITHOUT A LABEL, THAT’S SUCCESSFUL. I AM YOUNG, BLACK, GIFTED AND INDEPENDENT.. THAT’S MY TRIBUTE. I’VE ACTUALLY BEEN TUNING INTO CBS AROUND THIS TIME OF YEAR FOR A WHILE TO SEE WHO GETS THE TOP HONOR AND YOU KNOW WHAT’S REALLY NOT ‘GREAT TV’ GUYS? 1989 GETTING ALBUM OF THE YEAR OVER TO PIMP A BUTTERFLY. HANDS DOWN ONE OF THE MOST ‘FAULTY’ TV MOMENTS I’VE SEEN. BELIEVE THE PEOPLE. BELIEVE THE ONES WHO’D RATHER WATCH SELECT PERFORMANCES FROM YOUR PROGRAM ON YOUTUBE THE DAY AFTER BECAUSE YOUR SHOW PUTS THEM TO SLEEP. USE THE OLD GRAMOPHONE TO ACTUALLY LISTEN BRO, I’M ONE OF THE BEST ALIVE. AND IF YOU’RE UP FOR A DISCUSSION ABOUT THE CULTURAL BIAS AND GENERAL NERVE DAMAGE THE SHOW YOU PRODUCE SUFFERS FROM THEN I’M ALL FOR IT. HAVE A GOOD NIGHT.” – Frank Ocean (via Tumblr)
Frank didn’t hold back and we don’t blame him. The Grammy has been critiqued by many, especially by black artists, and a number of musicians (including Drake and Kanye West) have decided to opt out to attending this year. It will be interesting to see if Ehrlich decides to respond, but no matter what the Grammys say, Frank Ocean had the album of the year.
If new Katy Perry music and a new hair color wasn’t enough to get you excited, Katy got creative with things earlier this week with her awesome rollout of her new single, ‘Chained To The Rhytm’. Placing a number of disco balls around the globe, loaded with headphone ports that allowed fans to preview Perry’s new track, Katy definitely got people talking.
And to follow things up, today Katy Perry released ‘Chained To The Rhythm’ to the rest of the world, and with the help of a furry friend, more specifically, a hamster. Although there is a strong messaged layered into the track, the single’s lyric video features a cute hamster eating mini-hamburgers, watching television and living inside a doll house.
