A student of ’90s rap, Epic and Culture Republic rapper Nick Grant is an emerging rapper in 2016 but with a style and flow from over a decade ago. And showing his talents, Grant has shared his newest record, ‘NoBody’, a tribute to none other than The Notorious B.I.G. With references throughout the track to Biggie Smalls, Nas, Michael Jackson and all your favorite artists from the past, the South Carolina native kills it in ‘NoBody’. Grant is a pure MC, and it shows throughout the lyrics and style of his new track.
“Lyrically, none of them messing with me. Riding with some Queens, like bumpin’ “The Best of 50.””
Perhaps known best for his hit track ‘Cha Cha’, which famously influenced Drake’s mega-single ‘Hotline Bling’, rapper Big Baby D.R.A.M. (or simply “D.R.A.M.”) has released his newest music video, for his recent single ‘Broccoli’. Also featured on the track, rapper Lil Yachty joins D.R.A.M. for the track’s Nathan R. Smith and Hidji Films directed visuals.
Speaking on the record, D.R.A.M. explains that the feeling of ‘Broccoli’ is “almost identical (to ‘Cha Cha’), being that the record came out of thin air, and the timing was what it was supposed to be, and it taps into the culture just like ‘Cha Cha’.” As “Cha Cha 2.0”, as D.R.A.M. calls it, continues to climb up the charts, expect it to only gain more momentum with the release of the fun music video.

After appearing in headlines earlier this week, with the leak of his Chance The Rapper, Jeremih and Big Sean collaboration ‘Living Single’, emerging rapper Smino has dropped a track of his own, with his previously unreleased record ‘Kajun’. The song was recently performed acoustically by the St. Louis rapper, during his recent interview on Soulection Radio with Joe Kay, but you can check it out now. ‘Kajun’ is with Jean Deaux and Phoelix, and is produced by fellow Zero Fatigue artist, Monte Booker.
Reportedly an extra and unreleased track from his recent LP, Coloring Book, Chicago’s Chance The Rapper has released an all-star collaboration with ‘Living Single’. Recruiting the talents of GOOD Music‘s Big Sean, St. Louis MC Smino and fellow Windy City native, Jeremih, ‘Living Single’ is stacked. Everyone holds their own on this one, from the record’s gospel influenced vocals throughout the track to Smino, Chance and Sean’s equally impressive verses. According to rumors, this track was originally supposed to feature J. Cole, which would have made the collaboration even bigger. Let’s only hope that Chance has even more collaborations in the vault.
Chicago singer Jamila Woods has been gaining a lot of traction since assisting Macklemore on his conversation-starting record, ‘White Privilege II’. This time she has recruited Chicago’s own, Chance The Rapper, for her new Windy City themed track, ‘LSD’, referring to Chicago famous lakeside highway, Lake Shore Drive. Woods couldn’t have picked a better feature for this one, as Chance compliments Jamila Woods’ beautiful OddCouple produced tribute to Chi-town.
The new release is in anticipation of Woods’ forthcoming debut project, HEAVN. You won’t have to wait too much longer for this one either, as HEAVN is set to release this month, on July 11th, and features Chance The Rapper, Saba, Donnie Trumpet and production from Peter Cottontale, oddCouple and more.

Ever since fans heard Desiigner’s ‘Panda’ on Kanye West’s latest album, The Life of Pablo, the young rapper and New York native instantly became one of the most successful artists in rap music. With his debut record, Desiigner broke records that other huge names in rap haven’t achieved throughout their entire career. The only problem, was fans wanted more. But with Desiigner’s overnight success, “more” would have to wait.
Lucky for fans, more is finally here as the GOOD Music artist has released his debut project with his new mixtape, New English. With features from his label president, rapper Pusha T, and King Savage, the emerging artist has given us 13 records to tide us over until ‘Panda’ and New English is followed by a full length album. Rapper Kid Cudi has announced that he would release two album in 2016, and while we are still waiting for the first of the two (which are titled Passion, Pain and Demon Slayin’), today Mr. Solo Dolo has released a brand new track. Following his releases of ‘The Frequency’ and ‘All In’, today we have Cudi’s ‘Goodbye’.
Produced by Cudi’s band/duo “WZRD”, which consists of himself and producer Dot da Genius, the record features samples from Pink Floyd and Tupac’s 1992 film “Juice”, all while Kid Cudi flows over the track. No word whether ‘Goodbye’ is from Passion, Pain, Demon Slayin’ or none of the above, but either way, it’s always great to hear new music from the Cleveland native.
