Kali Uchis, Ellie Goulding & More Set to Perform at Chicago’s New VERSA Festival

Music fans in Chicago are in for a treat as a new music and comedy festival is coming to the Windy City.

The inaugural VERSA Festival is the biggest women-led and women-powered festival in decades and will feature performances from some of the biggest names in music and comedy. Of the many musicians set to perform include Ellie Goulding, Kali Uchis, Kim Petras, Liz Phair, Monica, Jamila Woods and many more. Several comedians are also scheduled to perform at the festival, including Chelsea Handler, Fortune Feimster and more. 

The VERSA festival will take place on Saturday June 11th and Sunday June 12th at Chicago’s Lincoln Park. Fans can grab tickets at the festival’s official website here.

Red Bull Music Festival Shares Stacked Chicago Lineup: G.O.O.D Music, Vic Mensa, Jamila Woods & More

Who cares if summer music festivals have come and gone this year, Chicago will host a number of amazing concerts in November as part of the Red Bull Music Festival.

Kicking things off with a stacked music showcase from Kanye West’s G.O.O.D Music label, which boasts performances from Nas, Pusha T, Teyana Taylor, Valee and more at the Wintrust Arena, the festival will also host concert from Vic Mensa, Cupcakke,Jamila Woods and more.

Tickets for the festival go on sale Tuesday, September 25th at 10:00 AM (CT) and fans can visit RedBullMusic.com/Chicago for more info.

Summerfest returned for a huge 4th of July celebration after the Milwaukee festival took off a day to recharge on Monday. Getting right back into things, fans at Summerfest yesterday saw some big name performances, from moments after the gates opened until Alessia Cara closed things out at night.

Chance The Rapper Teams Up with Jamila Woods for her Chicago Themed Record “LSD”

Chicago singer Jamila Woods has been gaining a lot of traction since assisting Macklemore on his conversation-starting record, ‘White Privilege II’. This time she has recruited Chicago’s own, Chance The Rapper, for her new Windy City themed track, ‘LSD’, referring to Chicago famous lakeside highway, Lake Shore Drive. Woods couldn’t have picked a better feature for this one, as Chance compliments Jamila Woods’ beautiful OddCouple produced tribute to Chi-town.

The new release is in anticipation of Woods’ forthcoming debut project, HEAVN. You won’t have to wait too much longer for this one either, as HEAVN is set to release this month, on July 11th, and features Chance The Rapper, Saba, Donnie Trumpet and production from Peter Cottontale, oddCouple and more.
