Things got very uncomfortable at the BET Awards when the Migos paid a visit to Complex News‘ “Everyday Struggle” cast yesterday.
After Joe Budden interrupted his co-host, DJ Akademiks, to say that they needed to wrap up the interview, the ‘Pump It Up’ rapper was apparently fed up with Akademiks giving praise to the Migos, who called the ATL trio, “one of (his) favorite groups.”
At that point, the one-hit-wonder shook his head, got up and left. To no surprise, Migos didn’t take kindly to the disrespect and got up to confront Joe Budden. As tensions began to rise, things were eventually broken up. This is already the second time this month that the Everyday Struggle cast struggled to keep their guests cool. Days ago, Vic Mensa and DJ Akademiks had a heated discussion over Akademik’s disrespect to Chicago and the city’s violence.

Last night Kygo closed out the party at the annual B96 Pepsi Summer Bash at a packed Allstate Arena in Rosemont, IL, just minutes outside of Chicago.
With showstopping performances from some of the biggest names in music, the Windy City crowd was treated to sets from pop stars like Hailee Stenfeld, Camila Cabello and Noah Cyrus, electronic superstars Zedd and Kygo, the always entertaining Jason Derulo, half of One Direction and the newly solo Niall Horan and Liam Payne, and more! From start to finish, the B96 Pepsi Summer Bash absolutely delivered for yet another yet.
Up first for the night, electronic trio Cheat Codes kicked off the party in Rosemont. The energetic trio made themselves a very tough act to follow for the rest of the night. As the Los Angeles natives performed their Demi Lovato collaboration, ‘No Promises’, the B96 listeners knew that last night would be a show full of some of pop radio’s biggest tracks.

Next up, singer Dua Lipa greeted the Chicago crowd. Fresh off her big performance at the Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival, Dua Lipa performed her biggest tracks from the past year, including ‘Blow Your Mind’ and her Sean Paul collab, ‘No Lie’.’
With little time between sets to keep the momentum going, Noah Cyrus came to the stage. The little sister of Miley Cyrus, Noah Cyrus showed the Summer Bash that she is her own artist with performances from her debut LP, NC-17, including her single ‘Make Me (Cry)’ and a cover of The Weeknd’s hit single, ‘I Feel It Coming’. She may not come with as much controversy as her big sis, but she brings just as much personality to the table.

Following Cyrus’ set, it was time for the lovely and diversely talented singer/actress, Hailee Steinfeld, to return for another B96 performance. You either know her for her movies like “The Edge of Seventeen” and “True Grit” or her pop radio favorites like ‘Love Myself’ and ‘Starting’, or all of the above. The highlight of Steinfeld’s set though, came with the performance of her new and empowering anthem for women everywhere, ‘Most Girl’.
For the next three acts, the night was dedicated to the newly solo artists who used to lead some of the biggest pop music groups, with One Direction’s Liam Payne and Niall Horan, and the Fifth Harmony stand-out, Camila Cabello. All of the three were contestants of the X-Factor, before being formed into the groups that rose them into the stars that they are today. However, all are now enjoying their new solo careers, writing music that speaks to themselves as individuals. From Liam’s ‘Strip That Down’ to Niall’s ‘Slow Hands’ and of course Camila’s ‘Crying In The Club’, these performances were some of the best of the entire night.
Next, it was time for some more dancing as EDM superstar Zedd came to the stage. Known in part for some of his big pop collabs, like ‘Starving’ with fellow Summer Bash artist Hailee Steinfeld and ‘Stay’ with Alessia Cara, Zedd knew how to keep the party going in Chicago.

Following Zedd’s memorable set, it was time for one of the night’s big headliners, Jason Derulo. Whether it was his impressive dancing or the sheer volume of hits that the singer has to perform, there was much to enjoy from Derulo’s set. Perhaps the most underrated performer in pop music today, Jason Derulo has been a staple in pop music for the past decade, and with recent hits like ‘Swalla’ and ‘Get Ugly’, Derulo isn’t going anywhere anytime soon.
Last but not least, another huge DJ blessed the Summer Bash stage, this time Norwegian house artist, Kygo. One of the biggest highlights of the entire night, the crowd went crazy as Kygo helped close out the Summer Bash with his massive Selena Gomez collaboration, ‘It Ain’t Me’.
From some of the world’s best DJs to the biggest names in pop music, new and old, the B96 Pepsi Summer Bash continued to kick off the summer by bringing a plethora of talent and entertainment to the Windy City.

Drake premiered another new track on an episode of his OVO Sound Radio show on Apple Music last night. This time, Drizzy remixed his OVO artist, and frequent collaborator, PARTYNEXTDOOR’s “Freak In Time”, from his Colours 2 project.
The show’s curator, Oliver El-Khatib, also premiered producer Metro Boomin’s new Drake collab, ‘No Complaints’, which also features the Migos’ Offset (listen here via Tidal).
Ever since his 2013 track, ‘Keep It Real’, Ventura-native Kyle has deserved a spot on XXL’s always entertaining and controversial Freshman list. And in 2017, Kyle finally got his spot on the list, due in part to the success of his Lil Yachty-assisted single, ‘iSpy’.

Debuting at Louis Vuitton’s runway show for their new Spring/Summer 2018 collection, Drake has shared his new track, ‘Signs’, hours ago.
Originally announced by LV’s style director, Kim Jones, the new track is easily the musical highlight of Paris Fashion Week. No word, whether ‘Signs’ will end up on a forthcoming Drake project, or if it’s a song made only for Fashion Week. Sorry Kanye, but Drizzy may be the “Louis Vuitton Don” now.

A lot has changed since Tony Romo’s last visit to his hometown of Burlington, WI, for his annual youth football camp. After suffering a back injury during a preseason game against the Seattle Seahawks, rookie quarterback Dak Prescott stepped up to the plate for the Dallas Cowboys, leading the team to the best record in the NFC. Romo only saw action for one drive, in the team’s last regular season match up, which to no surprise, ended with a touchdown.
Many speculated what was next for Romo. Would he move a few hours south and lead the Houston Texans to their first Super Bowl? Would the Denver Broncos repeat their success with Peyton Manning, by inviting another veteran QB to lead their team? Or would Romo remain with America’s Team, either as a starting quarterback or to back up Prescott? To the surprise of many, Tony Romo instead announced his retirement and accepted a highly coveted broadcasting job with CBS. Football would remain part of Romo’s daily routine, but with a very different role.
While so much is changing for Romo, today was all about familiarity for the Wisconsin-native. Returning to his alma mater, Burlington High School, to join Coach Steve Tenhagen for their annual youth football camp, Tony Romo took a break from his training with CBS to give back to his hometown.

Growing up in Wisconsin, Tony Romo has always drawn comparisons to Green Bay Packers’ legend, Brett Favre, and that isn’t going to change anytime soon. During his hometown visit to Burlington, WI, for his annual youth football camp, fans couldn’t help but wonder if Romo will change his mind on retirement, just like Brett Favre in 2008.
Romo doubled down on his commitment to his new gig with CBS, stating, “I’m comfortable with where I’m at, and I feel good about the decision. You never really know ultimately how you’re going to feel until you decide to stop playing and that decision was obviously a very difficult time.” Romo continued, “I’m excited about the next opportunity. For me, a lot will be learned through experience. I learned that a long time ago with football.”
However, for those who are still crossing their fingers that Romo answers the phone and comes out of retirement, if any team (including the Cowboys) is in need of a quarterback to make a legendary run in the playoffs, there is good news.
When we asked Tony if he is staying in shape, when compared to previous years where he was preparing for the football season, Tony half-jokingly told us that he is in “the best shape of (his) life.” Romo explained, “I’ve had the same routine. That hasn’t change too much.”
“I haven’t exactly been squatting 400 pounds the past 3 or 4 years, once I had the back surgery I had to adjust everything (but) my routine and workout really hasn’t changed since football season.”
Although Tony didn’t state that continuing his workout routine was to keep his options open in case he decides to return to football, it’s good to know that the Cowboys’ all-time leader in passing yards is physically ready to go if he decides to make one last run.
One reason, of many, that Tony cited for his decision to join CBS was his family. Currently awaiting the birth of his third child, all of which are boys, we asked Romo if there was ever a name he wanted for one of his boys that ultimately received a veto from his wife.
“Yeah, Tony was one of them,” Romo told us. “But that (name) kind of got the boot pretty good. It got dismissed,” Romo joked.
Tony Romo also paid homage to Burlington legend, Don Dalton, who recently passed away at the age of 75. Romo told reporters about how the former Burlington Football coach was the reason he began playing football in high school.
Romo, having missed the deadline to enroll his high school’s football program, was approached by Dalton, who encouraged Romo to join the team. Although Romo thought it was too late to join, it was Don Dalton who made it happen.
“I think he saw something in me obviously. He knew that I had a chance to be a decent player,” Romo told reporters. Who would have guessed that years later Romo would be the starting quarterback for the Dallas Cowboys.
And just as Dalton made a mark on a young Tony Romo, Romo continued to pay it forward today, giving advice to some of the area’s youth athletes for his annual football camp.
