Based off recent listing and ad uploads from Amazon and iTunes, J. Cole’s third studio album is on the way and scheduled for a December 9th release. The album will released on Roc Nation and Columbia Records and is titled 2014 Forest Hills Drive and we have the first look as to the meaning behind the title.

As shown on Amazon, the upcoming album (which until now has been kept relatively secret) will be released next month and is available now for pre-order. Graphics for the album are now being displayed on iTunes (show below).

But what does 2014 Forest Hills Drive mean? As it appears, 2014 Forest Hills Drive is the address of the home where J. Cole and his family grey up in Fayetteville, North Carolina. In a letter sent to neighbors, J. Cole described his new purchase of his old home:

“Hello Neighbor:

If we’ve never met, I’m Jermaine, and I recently purchased 2014 Forest Hills Drive. I grew up here with my brother and mother, Kay.

I’m having an event at my house on Saturday, November 29 and Sunday, November 30 where I’m inviting some fans to come listen to music with me. The event will take place from 11am to 10pm on both days. I am also having a skating party at Round-a-Bout skating in Eutaw shopping center on Saturday night from 7-10pm, and you and your family are welcome to join us. …”

It is great to see that Cole is such a great neighbor and that fans will get new music within the month. Expect J. Cole to make an official announcement for the album real soon.
