Thugger is going on tour! Hitting a number of stops throughout the U.S., Young Thug will be kicking off his fall tour in support of his forthcoming album, Hy!£UN35. The tour will kick off in Mid-September in Huntington, NY and will hit stops in Boston, Chicago, Denver, San Francisco, and many more, before it ends in Maryland on November 1st. And if Thugger alone wasn’t worth the price of your ticket, he has also recruited rapper Tory Lanez (who has probably written for one of your favorite rappers) for the tour.
Check out the tour dates, as well as the sick tour poster, below.
These are the highlights of this past week in music! Hopefully you can bump these tracks on your way to work to brighten up your Monday mornings, and to stay up-to-date on today’s music.
This week we have a track from Tory Lanez, a collaboration from O.T. Genasis and Lil Wayne, and more!
Rapper Tory Lanez just dropped a new track in anticipation of his forthcoming EP, Cruel Intentions. The new project is a collaboration with the WeDidIt crew and will drop on June 26th, but this record is all Tory. Tory’s new record is titled ‘Karrueche’ and if you couldn’t guess it, it’s dedicated to Chris Brown’s ex of the same name. If the potential drama it may cause isn’t enough reason to peep the track, the song also features production from the talent Noah Breakfast (Chiddy Bang).
Some say music videos are a lost art. With MTV and VH1 airing more reality TV programs than actual music videos, it is no surprise that a lot of artists have abandoned the music video route of promotion. Not all artists fortunately. A lot of big artists know that fans crave visuals, even if they are streaming it from their phone or iPad. And a lot of emerging artists know that dope visuals going viral are a great way to gain exposure and put your name on the map. For our best music videos of 2015 (so far), which include selections from Raury, Childish Gambino, Kanye, WebsterX and more, we have a mix of both. Check out our picks and see who got our number one spot.
Watch Tory Lanez’ cinematic video for his 2014 standout track ‘Henny in Hand’, off his Lost Cause mixtape. The new video features a dramatic storyline with a surprise twist at the end that you won’t want to miss. The Canadian born rapper/song-writer is definitely one of the more up-and-coming names in rap right now, has written for Justin Bieber, and closes his winter tour tomorrow in Montreal. Check out the Andrew Hines directed video below.
