The project, of course titled Dirty Sprite 2 (DS2), will be on sale through iTunes (pre-order now) and releases in just one week (July 17)! It’s Days Before Rodeo (literally), as G.O.O.D. Music’s Travis Scott has released the first single to his debut album Rodeo, the follow up to his Days Before Rodeoproject that he released just months ago. This track is titled ‘3500’, and comes in at over 7-minutes long. And Scott shares those 7-minutes as he recruits Atlanta’s own, 2Chainz and Future, for the single. This one is produced by Mike Dean and Metro Boomin’, so if the rappers alone weren’t enough reason to check out the record, the production is fire.
Stream ‘3500’ below and purchase it now on iTunes.
These are the highlights of this past week in music! Hopefully you can bump these tracks on your way to work to brighten up your Monday mornings, and to stay up-to-date on today’s music.
This week we have a track from Chance The Rapper and The Social Experiment’s new free album Surf, a new song from singer Mike Posner, a ‘Commas’ remix with Big Sean and Rick Ross, and a Jhene Aiko/Hudson Mohawke collaboration.
Future’s ‘F*ck Up Some Commas’ remix is here, and it’s stacked! With guest appearances from Big Sean and Rick Ross, Sean Don definitely stills the track with his verse (are you surprised?). And if you want to catch a ‘Commas’ performance live, check out Drake’s “Jungle Tour” with Future in a city near you. Also be sure to check our photos of Big Sean’s recent Milwaukee concert here.
This week Chicago’s Vic Mensa paid a visit to Justin Credible and dropped an exclusive L.A. Leakers freestyle. Rapping over the instrumental to Future’s ‘F*ck Up Some Commas’ track, Vic spits about his new deal with Jay-Z, shouts out Big Sean and Future, and overall the Save Money rapper just drops bars on bars!
In 2011, Future dropped his fan-favorite Dirty Sprite mixtape, his first project on Freebandz which had features from 2 Chainz, Twista, Travis Porter and more. Now a few years and almost ten projects later, it seems like Future may be giving us a sequel to his 2011 project. Minutes ago, Future took to his Twitter, and simply tweeted “Dirty Sprite 2”. While we don’t have official details from the Atlanta rapper/singer yet, a Dirty Sprite sequel seems essentially confirmed. Stay tuned for more information and while you wait on Dirty Sprite 2, be sure to get nostalgic and listen to Dirty Sprite below in the meantime.
