Less than a year after singer Camila Cabello left the group to pursue a solo career, the remaining four members of Fifth Harmony have announced that they will be taking an indefinite hiatus to pursue solo careers of their own.
Oddly similar to the break-up/hiatus of One Direction, Fifth Harmony formed via the televised singing competition, X Factor, and after years of success a member (Malik/Cabello) decided to branch off to pursue their dreams of a solo artist, only for the rest of the group to do the same months later. Fifth Harmony seemed very bitter towards Cabello’s departure and success, so it’s very interesting that the rest of the members decided to do the same, not even a year later.
In a statement to fans, the group explains that they are taking a breaking to find their footing as individuals. The group still does have a number of performances scheduled for the rest of the year, and at this point, they still plan to make the performances.
Last night was one to remember, as Chicago’s B96 brought their annual Pepsi Jingle Bash to the Allstate Arena in Rosemont, for another sold-out concert with some of the biggest names in music.
With perhaps their best lineup yet, boasting performances from Taylor Swift, Khalid, Fifth Harmony, Logic, Sabrina Carpenter and pop royalty, the Backstreet Boys; last night fans got back their price of admission early into the night.
From Khalid’s opening set, complete with a surprise appearance from EDM artist Marshmello, to Taylor Swift’s closing and headlining performance, where fans saw the first ever live performance of ‘Gorgeous’, the B96 Pepsi Jingle Bash was a hit from start to finish!

Chicago B96 delivered in a huge way this afternoon, as the popular radio station revealed its monumental lineup for his annual B96 Pepsi Jingle Bash. Christmas is coming early for Rosemont’s Allstate Arena, as the Backstreet Boys, Khalid, Logic, Fifth Harmony and Sabrina Carpenter will all hit the stage before the night’s huge headlining star, Taylor Swift.
If the rest of the lineup wasn’t enough reason to make your way to Rosemont on December 7th, Taylor Swift has enough star power to sell out a week’s worth of shows at the Allstate Arena, none the less one with some of the biggest names in music by her side. This will be one of the first, if not the first, opportunities for fans to catch Taylor live before her next big stadium tour, so you can’t miss out.

Perhaps the best city in the world for music festivals, Chicago has added another great one to the list. Coming to the Guaranteed Rate Field (home to the Chicago White Sox) next month will be the Get In It Music Festival!
On September 16th, the Get In It Fest will boast a huge lineup with Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, Fifth Harmony, DNCE, Lupe Fiasco, Fat Joe, Jeremih & more. Festival organizers also promise a number of special guests and sports figures.
If you needed any more reasons to attend, the festival with benefit Get IN, a collection of local nonprofit organizations that works to prevent violence and support Chicago’s youth.
Last night B96 and Pepsi brought an amazing lineup to Chicago’s Allstate Arena in Rosement, IL with their annual Jingle Bash concert. Unlike last year, which was likely the warmest Jingle Bash on record, Chicago fans weathered the storm to catch performances from Britney Spears, The Chainsmokers, One Republic, G-Eazy, Alessia Cara, Fifth Harmony, DNCE and Shawn Mendes. The holiday show had something for everyone, and no matter who you were there for, last night was a holiday hit!
Shawn Mendes kicked off the night at 6:30, setting the tempo for the rest of the night’s performances on the guitar. Next up, super-emerging artist, Alessia Cara greeted her Illinois fans with performances of some of her biggest records, including ‘Here’ and ‘Scars To Your Beautiful’. Then, DNCE gave Rosemont a little flavor with their wacky energetic set.
Next up, One Republic hit the stage, cracked a few jokes and showcased their knowledge on surrounding Chicago suburbs with a hilarious Naperville shoutout. Soon after, G-Eazy stole the show with a not-so-radio-friendly performance at the radio concert. G may have left some parents scratching their heads with some of the tracks he performed, but he definitely killed it.
Then it was time for the artist who probably sold more seats than anyone, pop superstar Britney Spears. Although some hits were left out of her 30-minute set, Britney brought a big piece of her Pieces of Me show from Vegas to Chicago. With guest appearances from G-Eazy and Tinashe, and an elaborate dance routine, Britney easily delivered the best performance of the night.
Soon after, Fifth Harmony blessed the Chicago crowd with some of their biggest records. And then as the girls stepped off stage, EDM duo The Chainsmokers closed out the night with a huge dance party, putting a memorable ending on a memorable night.
