Photos: Little Big Town & Kacey Musgraves Give One Last Night of Country Music to Milwaukee’s BMO Harris Bradley Center

Tonight marked the last time a country artist or group would hit the stage at Milwaukee’s BMO Harris Bradley Center, as Little Big Town brought “The Breakers Tour” to the Wisconsin arena, just months before the city’s brand new state-of-the-art arena cuts the ribbon and opens its doors. With an arena and city that has seen a number of memorable country performances throughout the years, tonight was a great segue into the next chapter of country shows in Southeastern Wisconsin.

Not only was tonight the last country performance at the BMO Harris Bradley Center, rather it was also the second to last concert before the city’s new arena takes over. And with an amazing casts of performers, with Little Big Town, Kacey Musgraves and Midland, the stage was set for a memorable night.

Midland performed a few tracks from their 2017 debut LP, On the Rocks, while country’s rising star, Kacey Musgraves, set the tone for the night with performances from her brand new album, Golden Hour, which is already receiving wide critical acclaim.

But after a brief set-change, it was time for the act of the night, Little Big Town, to hit the stage. Known most for the collection of No. 1 singles, including ‘Pontoon’, ‘Girl Crush’, and most recently the Taylor Swift penned single, ‘Better Man’, the two girl/two guy group didn’t force too much production into their tour, however they made up for it with their fun stage presence and talented vocals.

Little Big Town’s set included performances of tracks from their entire discography, with a strong emphasis on their 2017 album where their headlining tour gets its name. With a trip to the B-stage, and performances of everyone’s favorite song, Little Big Town put on a great show for every single fan that filled the arena.

Check out our photos from tonight’s performance below and get your tickets for the remaining stops on their tour here.

Andy Grammer is music’s easiest guy to root for, and tonight the Los Angeles-born singer-songwriter brought his headlining tour to the House of Blues in Chicago, IL. Dubbed “The Good Parts Tour”, in support of his brand new LP, the multi-platinum selling artist treated a packed crowd to performances of his new album and fan favorites from his 2011 self-titled debut and 2014’s Magazines or Novels.

From humble beginnings, the 34-year old Grammer has gone from selling CDs to tourists in Southern California to taking the world by storm with huge singles like ‘Honey, I’m Good’ and ‘Good To Be Alive’. And tonight fans in Chicago helped celebrate Grammer’s come up, by singing along word-for-word as the ‘Fine By Me’ singer and his talented band put on a show that the House of Blues will not soon forget.

Grammer kicked things off with two tracks from his new album, as well as an entertaining performance of ‘Good To Be Alive (Hallelujah)’. Throughout the night Grammer performed the majority of The Good Parts, while still sprinkling in tracks from his first two albums. They say if you do something you love, you’ll never work a day in your life, and Andy Grammer is the epitome of just that, as his infectious energy on stage can’t help but make fans smile. No one had a greater night tonight than Andy Grammer, but his Chicago fans were a very close 2nd.

And to end the night on a high note, Grammer ended the main portion of his set with his mega single ‘Honey, I’m Good’, before treating fans to one last song, with an encore performance of the new album’s title track, ‘Good Parts’.

Taylor Swift treated her fans to a second music video for his Reputation single, ‘Delicate’. The Spotify exclusive is a vertical oriented front-cam music video of Swift performing her track outside.

While entirely different from her first music video for the track, which displays a wild dance routine from Swift, the visuals (like the first video) are certainly outside the norm from what you’d expect, but with a much smaller budget. The new music video only increases fans’ anticipation of Swift’s forthcoming world tour.

Eddie Vedder’s Favorite Chicago Spot “Stanley’s” is Closing After 25+ Years of Business

BY TER STAFF

Photo by Dan Garcia/The Early Registration

Eddie Vedder’s favorite Chicago spot, Stanley’s Kitchen & Tap, is closing its doors after over 25 years of business. After failing to reach terms with the Lincoln Avenue building’s landlord, the Lincoln Park bar/restaurant announced that their last day of business will be this Sunday, April 1st. While the restaurant looks for a new home, it would be impossible to forget all the memorable moments that took place at 1970 N. Lincoln.

Read Stanley’s official statement below:

Over the last few years Stanley’s Kitchen & Tap ownership has attempted to work with the landlord on extending the lease here at 1970 N Lincoln Avenue. Today, we regretfully announce that terms with the landlord cannot be reached. After over 25 years, our last day of business will be Sunday, April 1. To the many families and friends that have visited us over the years, including multiple generations, we have enjoyed getting to know you and meeting your children. To the thousands of amazing former and current employees we have had over the years, your dedication has made Stanley’s a signature staple in Chicago. Stanley’s has been the legacy of Donnie Kruse. He was its heart and soul.

Our goal is to continue Stanley’s tradition. Ownership is currently seeking alternate sites in Chicago for our next home. Thank you again for allowing us to be a part of your community and by including us in so many moments in your lives, from celebrating birthdays, to singing karaoke, to just enjoying that good ol’ fashion home cookin’. We are forever grateful for your support.

A favorite to Chicago athletes and touring musicians alike, Stanley’s was a favorite spot for Pearl Jam frontman, Eddie Vedder. From performing karaoke with Kid Rock in 2007, to celebrating the Chicago Cub’s World Series run, Stanley’s was a frequent stop for Vedder, whether Pearl Jam is town or not. Let’s hope Stanley’s gives Vedder a new building to do karaoke in real soon.

Watch Eddie Vedder and Chicago Blackhawk’s legend Chris Chelios perform some live band karaoke at Stanley’s during a 2012 visit below.
