Milwaukee Indie Synth-Pop Band “GGOOLLDD” Announces U.S. Tour Dates

Milwaukee Indie rock band, GGOOLLDD, have announced their new headlining U.S. tour. Led by singer Margaret Butler, GGOOLLDD will kick off their tour at the end of the month, February 24th in Des Moines, IA. The tour will also make stops in St. Louis, New Orleans, Austin, and at a number of festivals, until the tour concludes at the Pedlar’s Jamboree Fest in May.

Certainly one of the best new synth-pop sounds to follow in the new year, GGOOLLDD will certainly continue to grow in 2017.

The Guest List Alone Makes Taylor Swift & AT&T’s “Super Saturday Night” the Best Pre-Super Bowl Event this Weekend

We are just days away from Taylor Swift’s huge comeback concert. Teaming up with AT&T for the “DIRECTV NOW Super Saturday Night”, Taylor Swift is set to put on a pre-Super Bowl show for the ages. Not only were all tickets free, given out to fans who entered to win tickets via AT&T, but the show will be hosted by Club Nomadic, a custom made 64,000 square foot venue crafted for Houston’s Super Bowl festivities.

So other than the 10-time Grammy winning artist, who else can you expect to be in attendance? We won’t make you wait until portions of this one-of-a-kind concert airs on Taylor Swift NOW, available on DIRECTV Now, DIRECTV and U-Verse. Celebrity attendees so far include: Aaron Rodgers, John Legend & Chrissy Teigen, Peyton Manning, gymnast Gabby Douglas, actor Chris Evan, Erin Andrews, Lea Michele, Tony Gonzalez, Michael Strahan, Eddie George, Carson Palmer and many more.

So if you’ll be in Houston this Super Bowl weekend, get ready to see some of your favorite celebrities, athletes and of course the Taylor Nation, “shake it off” right into Super Bowl Sunday.

Donda Twitter Page Foreshadows Kanye West Return in February, “FEBRUARY #YEEZYSEASON”

Will this February mark the return of Kanye West? Although Mr. West is just a few months removed from his game changing “Saint Pablo Tour”, and less than a year removed from his critically acclaimed album, The Life Of Pablo, it feels like it’s been the longest time, ever since Kanye removed himself from the limelight and sought help over his mental health.

And while the details are still unknown, the end of Kanye’s mini-hiatus may be near, as the official Twitter page for Kanye’s creative content company “Donda” (named after his late mother) foreshadowed Kanye’s return.

Tweeting “FEBRUARY #YEEZYSEASON”, it definitely appears that whoever runs the Donda Twitter knows something that we don’t. Will we get a new project? A new track? Or even the return of the Saint Pablo Tour? Kanye has been spending time with Rick Rubin… Well, we will know sometime this month!

Mac DeMarco Shares Spring Tour Dates, Announces New Album “This Old Dog”

Two big pieces of news for Mac DeMarco fans this morning, not only has Mac announced his forthcoming LP, titled This Old Dog, but the Canadian singer/songwriter has also shared dates for his forthcoming Spring tour.

After festival performances at Coachella, Okeechobee and the Treefort Music Festival, Mac DeMarco will make headlining tour stops in Toronto, Chicago, Nashville, Montreal and more, before he ends his spring dates with a performance at the Boston Calling Music Festival.

And while you can certainly expect to hear some of DeMarco’s best track to date during his live sets, he will also be performing in support of his new album, This Old Dog, which is scheduled for a May 5th release. Fans can pre-order the LP now, via Captured Tracks.

John Mayer Announces “The Search For Everything” World Tour

Get ready John Mayer fans, because not only are we awaiting the release of John Mayer’s forthcoming album, The Search for Everything, but the Grammy Award-winning singer/songwriter is also embarking on his next world tour in 2017. Kicking off March 31st in Albany, NY, John Mayer’s “Search for Everything World Tour” will make stops in Chicago, Washington D.C., Toronto, New York and more, until the tour concludes May 12th in London.

All dates on the tour will be comprised of a full band, solo acoustic and John Mayer Trio sets of music. Tickets for the world tour will go on sale Friday, February 3rd at 10AM via LiveNation.com, with presale beginning on January 31st for American Express Card Members.

Ed Sheeran Releases Music Video for “Shape of You”

With his third studio album, divide (÷), just weeks away, fans couldn’t be any more excited for Ed Sheeran’s new album. And to get fans ready for the new LP, Ed Sheeran has shared the second official music video from divide, this time for his #1 single, ‘Shape Of You’.

divide is currently scheduled for a March 3rd release, and Ed has already announced a huge world tour in support of the new album. Although Sheeran’s U.S. fans are still awaiting the release of domestic dates, the new album and tour can’t come soon enough.

Kanye West is Working On Music with Rick Rubin and Vampire Weekend’s Rostam Batmanglij

When Rick Rubin and Kanye West get together, the end result is musical gold. Although it was originally met with mixed reviews upon its first release, Kanye West’s album Yeezus was another hit, and unlike nothing fans had heard before. And who played a big role in the Yeezus minimalist sound? None other than Rick Rubin of course.

And according to an Instagram post from Chicago rapper Towkio, Kanye West and Rick Rubin are likely working on music again. According to a text screenshot between Towkio and Rubin, Rubin played one of Towkio’s tracks ‘Swim’ for Kanye. Kanye loved the track, as did Vampire Weekend’s Rostam Batmanglij.

While we do not know the exact details of this get-together, it is exciting enough that this group of talented minds in music are in the same room. It is no stretch however to believe that Kanye and Rubin are working on new music.

Drake Previews New Track During Boy Meets World Tour

Drake fans abroad are eating right now, as Drake brought his “Boy Meets World” tour to Europe. And during a recent tour stop in Amsterdam, Drake treated fans by previewing a brand new track. Possibly off his forthcoming project, More Life, which will be a playlist collaboration with Apple, we already can’t wait for the studio version of the record.

And if you’re in Europe, do yourself a favor and check out Drake’s new tour. An especially unique stage design, with a large glowing globe in the middle of the arena, the Boy Meets World tour is like nothing else.

Even more than the internet loves Arthur memes, Chance The Rapper loves the Arthur Theme Song. A catchy nostalgic record from a beloved childhood cartoon, that Chance has flipped a number times in the past, this time the Chicago rapper teamed up with Ziggy Marley and Stephen Colbert to make an official recreation for The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.

No one is having more fun than Chance The Rapper in music today, and this fun collaboration is another example of just that. Chance’s momentum isn’t slowing down, so be sure to catch one of his huge headlining festival performances in the summer.

New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival Shares Massive 2017 Lineup: Stevie Wonder, Maroon 5, Lorde, Usher & More

New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival (“Jazz Fest”) has announced its massive 2017 lineup, that rivals any 2017 festival lineup in terms of both diversity and star power. Headliners for Jazz Fest’s 2017 lineup will include Stevie Wonder, Maroon 5, Lorde, Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers, Dave Matthews & Tim Reynolds, Kings of Leon, Usher & The Roots, Lorde and more.

Taking place at the New Orleans Fair Grounds Race Course from April 28th – 30th and May 4th – 7th, if the festival’s big headliners weren’t enough to bring you to the Big Easy, also performing at Jazz Fest this year will be Nas, Pitbull, the Alabama Shakes, Wilco, Earth, Wind & Fire, Patti LaBelle, Buddy Guy, Darius Rucker, Widespread Panic, Elle King, Leon Bridges and many more.
