Imagine watching a movie, but there’s one thing that is out of the ordinary. There is no picture, only sound. This is what you get when you listen to Flying Lotus. He created visuals without the use of pictures or anything other than sound. His picture combine, creating characters and narratives. It makes sense then that it truly is an experience to see him combine his abstract sound with even more out-there visual on a live stage. Where DJ’s can be found self-proclaimed throughout the world, there is no one quite like Flying Lotus and that in itself is reason enough to see him this year.
