The best and brightest of this past week in music, as well as a throwback track! Hopefully you can bump these tracks on your way to work to brighten up your Monday mornings. This week we have new music from Gucci Mane & Lil B, Vic Mensa, and Big Sean.
Big Sean’s forthcoming Dark Sky Paradise album, is Sean’s and 2015’s best release yet (check out our review here). And this week another collaboration between Sean and his mentor Kanye West has surfaced on the Kanye fan forum KanyeToThe. First fans were given the Sean, Kanye and Drake collaboration ‘Blessing’, later followed by Kanye and Sean’s John Legend featured track ‘One Man Can Change the World’. Now we have the soulful sampled track which was first previewed on Big Sean’s Dark Sky Paradise trailer. Pre-order Dark Sky Paradise now on iTunes and listen to ‘All Your Fault’ above, which also features production by Kanye, Million Dollar Mano and OG Webbie (and even some ad-libs from Travis Scott).
Gucci Mane just got a thousand times more awesome with the release of his new eight-track EP. Not only is the project, which is titled Views From Zone 6, hilariously spun off of Drake’s forthcoming Views From The 6 album, but the guests featured on the EP are amazing! Stream the new Views From Zone 6 track ‘Rolling Stone’, which recruits the talents of Lil B The Based God.
Recorded before Vic Mensa’s solo debut INNANETAPE, the Blended Babies production team have released their track ‘Shakedown ’99’ with Vic Mensa. It may be old, but it’s new to you, so do yourself a favor and check out the chill record. Also be sure to check out our new piece on Vic, for those who are just now getting into his music after his Kanye West collaboration ‘Wolves’, our “Beginner’s Guide to Vic Mensa“.
Check out Ty Dolla Sign’s new Tinashe and Charli XCX collaboration ‘Drop That Kitty’, produced by Stargate and Cashmere Cat. The new single is from Ty’s forthcoming debut album FreeTC, and can be downloaded now on iTunes. Check out the track above and look out for its music video soon, which features Ty, Tinashe, Charli, and Wiz Khalifa.
Following the release of his ‘Just a Picture‘ track with Kehlani, rapper Kyle has released his next song ‘Wait On Me’, his most personal track yet. The Ventura, CA rapper took to his Twitter to release the track, which is dedicated to his late grandfather Thomas Harvey. Check out ‘Wait On Me’ above.
