In our inaugural year and summer as your daily source for music, we were given the great opportunity of being invited to cover Chicago’s North Coast Music Festival‘s 5th Anniversary. If you find yourself in Chicago this weekend, The Early Registration has the acts that you should be most excited to see.

While some artists at North Coast will be focused on getting the crowd dancing, legendary conscious Talib Kweli will be sure to give you a number of his hits throughout the years at North Coast this week and also brings important messages behind his raps. Lately, Kweli has been on the ground in Ferguson and has also took too CNN and social media to help the fight against policy brutality throughout the nation. Check him out at NCMF this Saturday.

After you check out Talib this Saturday, be sure to save your spot to catch Kid Cudi’s headlining performance. Expect Cudi to give you a setlist full of hits from his time with Kanye’s G.O.O.D. Music mixed in with a number of his best tracks from his newer albums like Indicud and Satellite Flight: The Journey to Mother Moon. Let’s hope he keeps the Coachella belly shirt at home though.
