Earlier this week, Vic Mensa took to social media to tease a forthcoming collaboration with producer Young Chop, known most for his production on Chief Keef’s Chi-town banger ‘I Don’t Like’, which was later remixed by Kanye West and played a huge role in shaping Chicago’s drill sound. Now today we have the Chicago collab, as Chop recruited Vic and King100James for his ‘Around My Way’ track from his new Finally Rich Too project, which released a few hours ago via iTunes and Soundcloud.
“I don’t where ya’ll from, I’m right here. From them South Side of Chicago streets turn dreams to a nightmare,” raps Mensa on ‘Around My Way’.

Don’t worry, Odd Future didn’t actually break up (well not really), and here is some new OFWGKTA for you, this time from Hodgy Beats. The new autotuned record, titled ‘ISWEARHB’ has an epic team of producers, with production from Young Chop, Metro Boomin and Sonny Digital. Check it out for yourself, you don’t need the producer tags and drops to tell that three of music’s hottest producers played a role in this beat.
Check out Chicago’s own, rapper Lucki Eck$, and his new collaboration with Chance the Rapper. ‘Stevie Wonder’ is produced by Young Chop (“I Don’t Like”) and Plu2o Nash (one of Chicago’s best up-and-coming producers) and is certainly worth checking out. Find out more about Lucki Eck$ here, and look out for Chance’s upcoming album Surf, coming soon.
The tracklist for Chief Keef’s sequal to his Back From The Dead mixtape is here and featured production by Young Chop, 808 Mafia, and a lot of production from Keef himself. Except the mixtape this Halloween.
