The always hilarious, rapper Lil Dicky, paid a visit to Charlamagne and friends at Power 105.1‘s The Breakfast Club to talk about his come up, white privileged, his new Fetty Wap assisted single ‘Save Dat Money’, penis girth, and more. At one point, Charlamagne tried to get deep and randomly asked Dicky, a white Jewish rapper, what he is doing for the “Black Lives Matter” movement.

Dicky had a perfect response though, saying “First off, I think it’s ridiculous we live in a society where people aren’t able to treat everyone equally… That being said though, I’m not doing much… I’m not doing much for world hunger though either.” LD later asked Charlamagne what he should do, and Charlamagne couldn’t really give much of a good answer.

Post Malone Jokes About “Industry Plant” Accusations on The Breakfast Club

BY TER STAFF

‘White Iverson’ rapper Post Malone made a recent stop at Power 105.1’s The Breakfast Club and tackled an often unspoken topic in the music industry, “industry plants”. For those who don’t know, an industry plant (as described by Complex) is “is a pithy derogative that we (haters) wield to imply that a rapper or singer is an upstart fraud, a record label puppet, a focus group-tested vessel of creativity so-called.” When Charlamagne Tha God warned Post that he would get questions about white privilege, Post joked about accusations that he is an industry plant. “I’m a industry plant,” said Post. When asked what that means, Post said “I don’t know, that’s what they call me.” Not sure if Post (or really anyone) is a plant, but it’s good to see he has a sense of humor about it.

Its only right that the two Chi-town grown artists paid a visit to The Breakfast Club as the classic John Hughes film of the same name was filmed just outside of Chicago. Check out the full interview below as Chance talks about his come up, getting a phone call from Jay-Z, Obama and much more. Chance and Donnie also talk about their upcoming album Surf and Chance even gives an indirect shootout to The Early Registration for our coverage on his recent Open Mike events (around the 32:30 mark).

Is Charlamagne Tha God Leaving The Breakfast Club and Power 105.1 or Taking Shots at Hot 97?

BY TER STAFF

Charlamagne Tha God

Ever since Angie Martinez left Hot 97 for Power 105.1, Angie has recruited some of music’s biggest names for interviews (Nicki Minaj, J. Cole, Nas, French Montana and more). And sometimes there is only so much time to do press at the Power 105.1 offices, leaving DJ Envy, Angela Yee and Charlamagne Tha God at “The Breakfast Club” out of the spotlight. Just a few months ago “The Breakfast Club” WAS Power 105.1, and now they are sharing publicity and artists as Angie snatches some of the big interviews, just like how Power 105.1 snatched Angie from Hot 97.
