Ever since fans heard Desiigner’s ‘Panda’ on Kanye West’s latest album, The Life of Pablo, the young rapper and New York native instantly became one of the most successful artists in rap music. With his debut record, Desiigner broke records that other huge names in rap haven’t achieved throughout their entire career. The only problem, was fans wanted more. But with Desiigner’s overnight success, “more” would have to wait.

Lucky for fans, more is finally here as the GOOD Music artist has released his debut project with his new mixtape, New English. With features from his label president, rapper Pusha T, and King Savage, the emerging artist has given us 13 records to tide us over until ‘Panda’ and New English is followed by a full length album. The mixtape debuted on Tidal, but fans can check it out now on Audiomack.

The sixth track of the Adult Swim Singles Program comes from Chicago based SaveMoney collective producer Thelonious Martin featuring rising rapper Joey Purp, also from the SaveMoney crew. As premiered by Complex here, “Bomaye” boasts a classic sound, rich bass and an unexpected musical transition providing the backdrop to Purp’s deep lyrics that depict the harsh realities of the Chicago streets. Thelonious Martin also has a project dropping later this year called Late Night Programming. Check Joey Purp on tour this summer with Vic Mensa (dates below). “Bomaye” is now available for free download via AdultSwim.com/singles. Give this one a listen and share.

Amtrak and WGCI delivered last night, as they brought some of the biggest names in rap music to the 2016 Summer Jam. Despite a last minute cancellation from ‘My Wap’ rapper Fetty Wap, the Summer Jam brought a number memorable performances, from Desiigner, Young Jeezy, 2 Chainz, Migos, Plies, Famous Dex, Lil Durk and more, that the Windy City will not soon forget. With Plies for the ladies, Desiigner for the GOOD Music fans, T.I. for the old school rap heads, Migos and 2 Chainz for the crowd’s ATL fix, Jeezy for the marquee and Lil Durk, Katy Got Bandz and Famous Dex for their hometown, the Summer Jam had something and more for everyone in attendance.

While no single act stole the show, one of the night’s best moments came when 2 Chainz reached the end of his set time. Instead of playing by the rules and saying his goodbyes to Chicago, Tity Boi kicked down the LCD screen ticker that read 0:00, and performed until he felt that his set was actually over and dropped the mic before he stepped off stage. 2 Chainz raised the energy levels in the United Center, which set the tone for Jeezy’s headlining performance where he gave one hell of an introduction to Lil Durk, who joined the ‘Put On’ rapper on stage and helped cap off the night. This was definitely a Summer Jam for the ages!

After years of inactivity and speculation on the highly anticipated collaborative album, Kanye West has finally released new music that will be heard on the followup to Kanye’s GOOD Music album Cruel Summer, similarly titled Cruel Winter. Kanye surprised many as he shared the news earlier this morning, moments before he paid a visit to Big Boy’s 92.3 to debut the track. Titled ‘Champion’, as confirmed by Travis Scott on Twitter, the new track is fire and star studded. ‘Champion’ features Kanye West, Gucci Mane, Big Sean, Yo Gotti, 2 Chainz, Quavo (Migos), Travis Scott and GOOD Music‘s newest signee, ‘Panda’ rapper Desiigner.

While Cruel Summer was met with mixed reviews, and expectedly wasn’t as complete as a solo album from Kanye, the album had a number of bangers, and if ‘Champion’ is any indication of what to expect from Cruel Winter, then this sequel will be no exception when it comes to stacked hits and perhaps it may be a step up from Cruel Summer.
