Despite Drake’s jab at Chance The Rapper in his 2014 track ‘Draft Day’, the two were friendly last night as they hung out backstage at the United Center in Chicago. Minutes ago, Chance’s brother (Taylor Bennett) posted a photo with Drake, which he tagged his big bro Chance for the camera credits.

“If I’d leave this shit to chance, I’da picked a name like Chance the Rapper,” rapped Drake in ‘Draft Day’. To be fair though, Drake stressed in the next bars that there was no offense as he “doesn’t know that n*gga.” Well… he knows him now, and let’s just hope that this meeting leads to an eventual collaboration. A Chance verse on Views From The 6 perhaps?

Check out Taylor’s photo with Drizzy below (took by Chance himself).

Chance The Rapper shared the release of his new album Surf (with The Social Experiment) last night, but that didn’t stop him from giving back to his community less than a day later. Today Chance paid a visit to students and faculty at Chicago’s John Fiske School and Scammon Elementary School to present awards for the “Get Schooled, Get Connected” challenge. The challenge, designed to help Chicago Public School (CPS) students stay motivated to finish the school year strong, ended last Friday and Chance did his part to help reward the students’ hard work.

Check our more photos, from our photographer Jesus Montero, below.

What sets Bonnaroo aside from other elite music festivals, is its Superjam. A few years ago Madison’s Revelry Music and Arts Festival booked Chance The Rapper for a small performance, and for a crowd of less than a couple hundred. A lot has changed since then, and the numbers showed last night. Performing a headlining set for the University of Wisconsin crowd, Chance The Rapper and The Social Experiment shut down Mad-Town with a number of his Acid Rap hits, along with his new music as well, and this time for a crowd of thousands!

Chano wasn’t the only one to hit the Revelry stage though. This year, fans saw great performances from Chicago’s Mick Jenkins, AlunaGeorge (‘You Know You Like It’), Until The Ribbon Breaks, The Chainsmokers, Nick Hakim, LordPrez, and many more! If you weren’t there this year, you definitely missed out and you won’t want to skip next year, as the festival will only continue to grow.

This Fan Made Cover Art for Chance The Rapper’s “Surf” Album is Too Fresh!

[Update: We have confirmed our suspicions that the cover art is fan made. Still, the artwork is too nice! You definitely may need to use it as an alternate cover on iTunes.]

Earlier this week, Chance The Rapper announced to fans at Michigan State University that his highly anticipated album with The Social Experiment, Surf, was coming in less than a week. And now today, to further build our anticipation, we have the cover art for Surf… maybe. While we haven’t had confirmation from Chance himself, the cover seems way too professional and way too close too the style/feel of Chance’s Acid Rap project to be fan made. However Surf is not just a Chance album, it’s an album with The Social Experiment (that centers around Donnie Trumpet), yet Chance alone is on this cover. Either way though, we haven’t had a cover design get us more excited for an album in awhile!

Check out the potential cover art for Surf below!

Chance The Rapper’s Highly Anticipated Album Surf is Coming This Week

Earlier today Chance The Rapper shared a photo of himself and Kanye West, making fans excited for a potential (and now speculated) collaboration. Well that wasn’t the only good news for Chance fans, because during a concert for Michigan State University tonight, Chance announced to fans that his highly anticipated album Surf (with The Social Experiment) is coming THIS WEEK.

Time to get excited because the surf waves are almost here! Chance has been working with Andre 3000, Frank Ocean and J. Cole (just to name a few), and while we don’t know a complete or exact list of features on Surf, we can definitely expect a quality follow-up to Acid Rap with some great features as well.

Stay tuned for more information!

Is Chance The Rapper Working with Kanye West?: Chance Shares New Photo with Kanye on Instagram

[UPDATE: Since our original post, Chance has posted another (different) photo of him and Kanye (shown below) on his Instagram with the caption: “When I dream of Heaven I don’t see sharp edges.” A potential song lyric?]

[UPDATE 2: Chance has also announced that his new album with The Social Experiment, Surf, is coming this week.]

Last year, Chance The Rapper finally met Kanye West. While fans of both Chicago artists were excited, no one was more excited than Chance himself, as he has never hesitated to let people know that he is a huge Kanye fan. The silver lining of the two meeting each other last year is that it wasn’t at the studio, it was at the Made In America music festival, where artists cross paths and pose for pictures all the time, and there was no reason to suggest that the two would collaborate in the near future.

Today though, we have a new photo of Chance and Kanye. And while we can’t be certain this picture is from today, you will notice that you can see Kanye’s new So Help Me God tattoo, that he got in March. Are they working on new music? Did Kanye’s ‘Wolves’ collaborator and Chance’s longtime friend Vic Mensa get the two together? Have the two possibly been working together for awhile now? We have heard rumors for awhile that Kanye is working with another big Chicago artist. We won’t speculate too much but we will keep our fingers crossed!

Check out the new photo of Chance and Mr. West below!

Wisconsin Chance The Rapper fans, have no fear, as Chance WILL NOT be cancelling his upcoming and headlining performance this weekend at the University of Wisconsin’s Revelry Music and Arts Festival. Although festival representatives have been staying busy this past week, telling fans that Chance was still scheduled to perform despite Chance’s tweet saying that his illness was preventing him from performing at his upcoming shows, Chance took to Twitter less than an hour ago to say that he is feeling 100% and “ready to kill every show this week.” Get hyped Madison!

This year’s festival, which takes place on UW’s campus on May 2nd (the same day as Madison’s infamous Mifflin Block Party), will feature performances from The Chainsmokers, Mick Jenkins, Alunageorge, Until the Ribbon Breaks, Nick Hakim, and more! 22 artists… 10 hours… 3 stages.

Check out the lineup poster and set times below and get your tickets now!
