WKQX’s The Nights We Stole Christmas is returning in 2019 and with one of it’s best lineups yet! With headlining sets from The 1975, Cage The Elephant, Mumford & Sons and more, all five nights of the holiday concert series are can’t miss. Returning to the Aragon Ballroom from December 11-15, some of the biggest names in rock will bless the stage for WKQX’s beloved series.
On Wednesday, December 11th, Cage The Elephant will headline opening night with support from Angels & Airwaves and The Federal Empire. For night 2, The 1975 will perform with opening acts Bob Moses and Allan Rayman. Next up, on December 13, Twenty One Pilots will perform with I Don’t Know How But They Found Me. On Saturday, December 14th, Mumford & Sons will perform with Local Natives. Last but not least, Highly Suspect and The Glorious Sons will open for the closing night’s headliner, 311 on Sunday, December 15th.

Less than a month removed from 2016, we have compiled our list of our favorite concert tours from the past year, before we drop our list of our “Most Anticipated Tours of 2017”. And from huge grossing tours like Beyonce’s Formation Tour, Drake & Future’s record breaking Summer Sixteen Tour and of course Kanye’s Saint Pablo Tour, to some of the more (but equally entertaining) B-side tours, 2016 was a great year for live music.

Moments ago, Grammy-nominated rockers Cage The Elephant gave a performance that Milwaukee, Wisconsin will not soon forget. Performing at The Rave’s Eagles Ballroom, the Bowling Green, Kentucky natives were joined by the equally entertaining, Portgual. The Man. Led by singer and guitarist Matthew Shultz, Cage The Elephant is currently on tour in support of their critically acclaimed 2015 album, Tell Me I’m Pretty, an LP that was produced by The Black Key’s Dan Auerbach, and earned the guys a Best Alternative Album nom at the 2015 Grammys.
Fans tonight saw much more than some awesome performances from Tell Me I’m Pretty though. Those in attendance not only saw a great opening set from Atlantic Records’ Portugal. The Man, but Cage The Elephant’s headlining performance also consisted of songs and fan favorites from their previous albums, Melophobia,Thank You, Happy Birthday and their 2008 self-titled debut, as well as an energetic encore that alone was worth the price of admission. Cage The Elephant have easily put together one of the best can’t miss rock tours of the entire summer.

Rockers Cage The Elephant have just announced a huge 2016 tour, with some major supporting acts. Kicking off May 1st at the Verizon Arena in Little Rock, Cage The Elephant will be joined by Portugal. the Man, Broncho and Twin Peaks on their huge tour which will make stops in Chicago, Milwaukee, Nashville, Los Angeles and many many more, until the tour concludes June 26th in Phoenix.
With such a talented lineup and a huge selection of tour dates, you definitely have no excuse to miss out on this one.
