Usually a job opening doesn’t qualify as music news. However, when that job comes with the potential of working with Kanye West, that changes things.
Adidas recently posted an opening for a Design Director position in Portland, for Kanye West’s Yeezy line. According to adidas, the company is looking for someone to “develop and direct industry leading creative solutions for concepts and categories, to create a highly relevant, desirable and clear adidas brand image, from sell in to sellout.”
While this role certainly doesn’t call for someone to be Kanye’s everyday right hand man when it comes to his Yeezy line, it’s certainly a one-of-a-kind opportunity. If you’re a creative and interested in the position, you can apply for the position here.
After the successful launch of Kanye West’s and adidas‘ Yeezy Boosts, we now have some detailed images from Kanye’s next adidas shoe, the “Yeezy 350 Boost Low” sneakers. The 360 Boost Lows have a similar sole from the original Kanye x adidas high tops, a “YZY” logo on its side, as well as a grey/white pattern around the shoe and its laces. These shoes have an expected price of $210, but expect them to go very fast and to resell for much more than $210. No word yet on an exact release date, but stay tuned!
Check out the new photos of the Yeezy 350 Boost Lows below.
UPDATE: Kim Kardashian has also shared the packaging onInstagram which confirms Jerry Lorenzo’s post and the shoe’s name, the “Yeezy 750 Boost”.
Yesterday Fear of God creator Jerry Lorenzo and Ibn Jasper shared images of one Kanye West’s new adidas shoe on their Instagrams, the Yeezy Boost, a shoe which Kanye was seen wearing today at a Grammys pre-party (photo below). Now today Lorenzo has shared another image on his Instagram, this time a Just Don x Air Jordan box along side a gray square box. Given the context, given the details Lorenzo has released so far, and given the look of the shoe, it is reasonable to assume that this unidentified box is likely the Yeezy Boost packaging. Decide for yourself, but definitely stay tuned for more details.
Yesterday we reported on rumors that Kanye West is releasing his next highly anticipated sneaker, the adidas YEEZi 3 during the NBA All-Star Weekend (February 13-15) and according to reports, the shoes are rumored to retail at $350. Now today we have more news, as Adidas has announced a new mobile phone application called “Confirmed”. According to ESPN‘s Darren Rovell, “Confirmed” was created in anticipation for Kanye West’s upcoming adidas release. The app is available now on iTunes.
According toreports by TheShoeGame.com, rumor has it that Kanye West is releasing his next highly anticipated sneaker, the adidas YEEZi 3 during the NBA All-Star Weekend (February 13-15). Also according to reports, the shoes are rumored to retail at $350, and while there is no word yet as to how many pairs will be released for purchase, West has said in the past that his releases with adidas will be much more accessible to the public (and also more affordable). This would be a relief as his last release with Nike, the Red Octobers (Yeezy 2) were very limited, and highly sought after.
Big news day for Kanye West. After appearing on The Ellen Show and releasing his new music video for his Paul McCartney collaboration ‘Only One’, news has surfaced that Kanye’s upcoming line with adidas is coming very very soon. According to Daniel Lindstrom, fashion director of Swedish men’s fashion magazine “Café”, the line will be released in New York in just two weeks. Lindstrom photographed Jerry Lorenzo (founder of “Fear the God”) on Instagram, where he revealed the news. Let’s hope this is true!
