If you didn’t know by now, Charlie Puth is definitely #TeamSelena. Currently on his Nine Track Mind Tour, Charlie Puth shared some strong words for the Purpose singer the other night in Dallas. “F*ck you, Justin Bieber,” Puth shared with the Dallas crowd while performing his Selena Gomez collaboration ‘We Don’t Talk Anymore’. Puth later tweeted that he was simply joking around and has nothing but great things to say about the ‘Love Yourself’ singer, but either way, he definitely got quite a positive reaction from his sold-out crowd in Texas.

Watch Puth call out the Biebs below and check out Puth’s tour dates and see if he is coming to a city near you.

To say that American gospel and R&B singer Leon Bridges is like nothing else in music today would be a vast understatement. Although the Fort Worth, Texas native is just 26 years old, Bridges has a voice and sound straight out of the 1960s. His debut album, Coming Home, was met with critical acclaim across the board, and if his timeless sound was shared with fans decades ago instead of in 2016, Bridges today would be an R&B legend. So while us millennials don’t get to see the likes of B.B. King and Otis Redding in their prime, we are more than lucky to have Leon Bridges.

Tonight Leon Bridges brought his 2016 spring tour to The Riverside Theatre in Milwaukee, WI. The sold-out crowd was diverse in all sorts of age ranges. Bridges not only has fans old enough that they could have went to school with the talented singer, but as no surprise he has a huge supporting cast from those who grew up with soul music. Young or just young at heart, Bridges’ music was bound to bring joy to all ages in Wisconsin tonight.

Opening for Bridges tonight was R&B artist and Phili-native, Son Little. Son Little performed a number of songs from his self-titled 2015 debut, and while his music is slightly more blues rock infused (when compared to Bridges), it still gave us a window into a better era of music. If you like Gary Clark Jr., you’ll definitely like Son Little. Son Little’s performance certainly set the tone for the rest of the night.

Next up was Leon Bridges himself. Taking time to thank his sold out crowd, dressed to the 9s in a  stunning gray suit, Bridges gave an intimate performance to the Milwaukee crowd tonight. While at moments he would give brief introductions to his songs, all-in-all he made the night about nothing but the music itself. Song for song everyone in attendance sang along, and when fans didn’t know necessarily every word, they still swayed their shoulders side to side and danced to Bridges’ beautiful voice.  Bridges primarily performed his Coming Home album tonight, but even found time to mix in some new music as well. It’s a wonder how he finds time to write new music since it seems like he has been on tour all of the past year. Bridges gave Milwaukee a night it will not soon forget.

Check out our photos from Leon Bridges’ and Son Little’s Milwaukee performance below, and be sure to check out the remaining dates on his current tour here.

Video: Full House Star Bob Saget Joins Carly Rae Jepsen to Perform Fuller House Theme

If it wasn’t cool enough that Carly Rae Jepsen’s “Full House” cover and theme song for Netflix’s new “Full House” reboot, “Fuller House”, recently charted on Billboard, less than an hour ago Carly Rae invited the star of the 90s sitcom, actor/comedian Bob Saget to perform a very special duet of her nostalgic cover.

Currently in Milwaukee for her Gimmie Love Tour, Carly Rae was performing at the Tuner Hall Ballroom, just a mile away from Bob Saget’s standup performance at The Pabst Theatre. Lucky for Carly Rae’s fan, Saget’s performance ended in time that he could rush over to join Carly Rae to help perform her ‘Full House’ cover. Bob Saget’s Backstreet Boy’s cover, reworked as ‘Danny Tanner Was Not Gay’ will forever be a classic, but Saget just can’t hit the high notes that Jepsen can. Either way though, it made for an awesome performance from the two.

Watch Bob Saget and Carly Rae Jepsen team up to perform the ‘Fuller House’ Theme below.

Minutes ago, Canadian singer/songwriter Carly Rae Jepsen stepped off stage at Milwaukee’s Turner Hall Ballroom. Currently on her Gimmie Love Tour, Jepsen put on a memorable performance that we really really really liked (forgive our horrible pun). All jokes aside, Carly Rae’s growth as an artist has been consistent, album after album and year after year. Jepsen is much more than a former standout contestant on Canadian Idol, and certainly more than just the singer behind her 2011 hit ‘Call Me Maybe’. Jepsen’s third studio album, E•MO•TION, was critically acclaimed across the board and wound up on many year end lists (a rarity in the pop world), she contributed a huge cover for the theme song of Fuller House, and her ongoing Gimmie Love Tour has been enjoyed by fans and critics alike. Jepsen definitely showed love for Milwaukee tonight and the feeling was mutual.

Opening for Jepsen tonight was Los Angeles-based alt-folk pop trio, Fairground Saints. The fun group, which consists of Mason Van Valin, Megan McAllister and Elijah Edwards, performed some of their fan favorites like ‘Can’t Control This Weather’, ‘All For You’ and ‘Turn This Car Around’. The guy-guy-girl trio complemented each other especially well and made for a unique combination. Together, Fairground Saints definitely set a great tone for the rest of the night.

Next up for the night was New York based electronic duo Cardiknox. Consisting of singer Lonnie Angle and producer/guitarist Thomas Dutton, Cardiknox just put out their debut album Portrait today, and they put on an unofficial live release party for the Milwaukee crowd before Jepsen hit the stage. And moments before Cardiknox’s final song, Carly Rae came out with a cake bearing Portrait’s artwork to congratulate her openers on their big day. The duo performed a number of cuts off their new LP and you could tell that they were just having fun out there, celebrating their album’s release.

Following Fairground Saints’ and Cardiknox’s performances was the woman of the night, Carly Rae Jepsen. Jepsen kicked off her performance with a number of records from her 2015 LP, including ‘Making the Most of the Night’, ‘Run Away With Me’ and her album’s title track. In total Jepsen performed nearly every track from E•MO•TION, while still making time for cuts from her 2012 album, Kiss, including an emotional performance of her record ‘Curiosity’, a personal highlight from the night and a performance that her Wisconsin fans will not soon forget.

While it seems like just yesterday that Carly Rae Jepsen rose to stardom in the U.S., the 3o-year-old singer is no rookie to making music and touring, and tonight was a clear example of that. Jepsen’s performance may not have had the theatrics that some pop tours have, but rather Jepsen gave an intimate and polished performance that was almost without flaws, which is much better if you ask me. And if the night couldn’t be any better, half way through her set Carly Rae brought out Full House/Fuller House star, comedian Bob Saget, to perform Carly Rae’s cover of the classic sitcom theme. Fans tonight saw a great 20-track setlist, a Danny Tanner appearance, and a performance where song after song Jepsen showcased her exceptional voice and her infectious charm.

Check out our photos from Carly Rae’s Milwaukee performance below, and be sure to check out the remaining dates on her Gimmie Love Tour here.

Photos: Vince Staples Returns to Milwaukee for Pt. II of his Circa ’06 Tour

Following a memorable 2015 performance with Odd Future’s Earl Sweatshirt, Vince Staples returned to The Rave in Milwaukee, WI tonight, this time for a headlining set on Part II of his Circa ’06 Tour. And while his co-headlining tour with Earl was just a year ago, a lot has happened for the the Long Beach rapper since his last trip to Wisconsin. Staples’ released his debut album Summertime ’06, which was received well by critics and fans alike, he launched his acting career with a great and hilarious appearance in the 2015 film “Dope”, he was chosen by XXL for their 2015 Freshman Class, he has released a number of awesome visuals from his latest album, and of course he went on his biggest headlining tour to date.

And although a lot has changed for Staples in the past year, his great stage presence and ability to keep his energy levels high has not changed. In fact, even without Sweatshirt to complement him, his live performance has maybe even stepped up a level or two. Between songs, Staples even made time to salute International Women’s Day, dubbing Hilary Clinton as his prediction for our next president while joking about Bernie Sanders. “Run The Jewels 4, hosted by Bernie Sanders,” joked Staples. Even on a random Tuesday March night in Milwaukee, Vince Staples put on a show that his fans will not soon forget.

Check out our photos from Vince Staples’ performance tonight below, and be sure to check out the remaining dates for Staples’ Circa ’06 Tour Pt. II here.
