Former 2AM Club founder, Marc E. Bassy, is currently in pursuit of his new solo career and he has been hitting the ground running. Introducing himself to fans on G-Eazy’s recent “When It’s Dark Out Tour”, Bassy and the ‘Me Myself & I’ rapper have teamed up again, this time for Bassy’s new record ‘You And Me’. Mike Posner and Big Sean have been our favorite rapper-singer collaboration for many years. Great friends and collaborators well before Big Sean hooked up with Kanye West’s GOOD Music or before Mike Posner hit it big with the club remix of his single ‘Cooler Than Me’, which featured a young Big Sean on the original version, the two are a great team. This time Mike and Sean have teamed up once again, for a rework of Mike Posner’s The Truth record, ‘Buried In Detroit’.
Similar to the rework of his 2015 track, ‘I Took A Pill In Ibizia’, which like ‘Cooler Than Me’ rose up on the Billboard charts with an upbeat remix, ‘Buried In Detroit’ does not have as much club appeal as Posner’s previous singles, but in not doing so it perfectly captures the folk character of the original cut. Add a verse from fellow Detroit native Big Sean, and you have yourself another great record. You’ll be able to find this one on Posner’s highly anticipated sophomore LP, At Night, Alone, which releases next Friday, May 6th.

Milwaukee artist WebsterX is everything you need on your iPod right now (people still use iPods, right?). After blowing everyone away with the production of his music video for ‘doomsday’, the Wisconsin rapper has hit the ground running. From opening for Lupe Fiasco at Milwaukee’s Summerfest, to getting a ton of co-signs by some major blogs, WebsterX is probably his most talented when it comes to putting together some amazing visuals for his best records.
Today WebsterX dropped his music video for ‘Everything’, a Q the Sun produced song of their recent KidXEP. Directed by Cody Laplant & Damien Blue, who produced a number of WebsterX’s previous music videos, the video for ‘Everything’ is easily one of the best of the year. This one isn’t just a music video though, it’s a movie.

Off his recent LP, This Unruly Mess I’ve Made, Macklemore has released his new music video from the album, this time for his fun record, ‘Brad Pitt’s Cousin’. And while the music video is certainly low budget, the visuals complement the record and are just as fun as the track itself. In the new video Macklemore is caught on the road, goofing off in Europe, in what was surely a blast to film. The video even has some special cameos from rapper XP, Macklemore’s new born child and a kitten!

Epic Records’ Bernard Flower is hitting the ground running with his new debut single, ‘This Feeling’. Growing up in the streets of Memphis, TN, music has always been his greatest escape, and while Flowers has been rapping and singing since the age of 13, his career is now starting to get the traction and attention that Flowers has long been seeking.
“I was gonna turn into dust trying to make it in music. I just knew if the right person heard my music I could get a chance,” Flowers reflects on his move to Atlanta to pursue a career in music. And while Tennessee is often the place artists move to give life to their careers, there was no better place for a rapper/singer than the ATL. Thankfully for Flowers, his big move has finally started to pay off.

Chance The Rapper is having one hell of a week. Tomorrow Chance is throwing out the ceremonial first pitch at the U.S. Cellular Field as the Chicago White Sox host the Cleveland Indians for their home opener, on the verge of a huge club ambassador deal with the Sox. Later that night the ‘Ultralight Beam’ rapper is playing his first ever show at the Windy City’s historic Chicago Theatre.
And if all the above wasn’t enough, today Chance released his visual for his Saba assisted record, ‘Angels’. Directed by Austin Vesely, Chance flies through Chi-town in his awesome Hebru Brantley inspired video.

Summerfest‘s awesome 2016 lineup just got that much bigger, and with the addition of just one name. Bringing his “One On One” tour to Summerfest’s Marcus Amphitheatre, Sir Paul McCartney will travel to the Milwaukee festival on July 8th. Tickets for The Beatles frontman’s forthcoming performance go on sale Friday, April 15th at 10:00 AM and include Summerfest admission. For someone as big as Paul McCartney, the Amphitheatre might as well be considered an intimate show for McCartney, so definitely get your tickets fast before they are all sold out.

Sharing its title with the popular Netflix documentary series, The Roots’ frontman Black Thought recruited rapper Styles P and the legendary 9th Wonder for his new record ‘Making A Murder’. Black Thought and Styles P both kill it on this 9th Wonder beat, for a track inspired by Manitowoc, Wisconsin’s Steven Avery. This is just the first of many new track you are bound to hear from Black Thought this year, as the rapper confirmed that new music from The Roots is on the way, and that he has a forthcoming collaboration with Eminem and Royce Da 5’9″.
Drake surprised many this morning as the 6 God took to Twitter to drop two brand new records. First was his Wizkid and Kyla collaboration ‘One Dance’, but even bigger was Drake’s huge and unexpected collaboration with “The Throne”. Titled ‘Pop Style’, Drake recruits Kanye West and Jay Z for his hot new record. Not only is this an all-star collaboration, but this one is sure to get a ton of play.

In anticipation of his huge forthcoming tour along side A$AP Ferg, rapper Tory Lanez has released his newest music video, this time for his record ‘LA Confidential’. The new track is beginning to climb up the charts right now and features big collaborations from Miguel and producers Benny Blanco and Cashmere Cat. If you like what you hear, Lanez’ new album is slated for later this year, on Blanco’s Interscope imprint, Mad Love.
