The best and brightest of this past week in music, as well as a throwback track! Hopefully you can bump these on the way to work to brighten up your Monday mornings! Make sure to check out our SoundCloud page where we post all the songs of the week.

A couple days ago, Drake surprised us all by dropping three new tracks, ‘6 God’ ‘Heat of the Moment’ and ‘How Bout Now’. Here is Drizzy’s best of the three ‘ Heat of the Moment’, produced by his long-time producer 40.

Lion Babe, new artists out of New York, which consist of Jillian Hervey and Lucas Goodman, recruit Childish Gambino for their new track ‘Jump Hi’ If you have yet to hear of Lion Babe, check them out! Hervey’s unique voice and the Nina Simone sample in this track, all complemented by Gambino certainly make for a song worth checking out.

While this track is not brand new, it is gaining steam as it is a stand out track for Jhene Aiko’s debut album Souled OutEasily her best track since ‘The Worst’, this track both pays homage to 50 Cent’s ‘Many Men’ and has a subtle feature from Cocaine 80s.

Last week, Jessie Ware shared an unreleased track ’12’, produced by Salva, one of the songs that did not make the final cut for the singers upcoming sophmore album. This week we choose her remix with rapper J. Cole, to her track “Kind of… Sometimes… Maybe”.

This track is by Baltimore’s experimental musician Panda Bear. You may know him from his band Animal Collective, and here is his new track and video ‘Mr. Noah’, off his upcoming EP of the same name.

THROWBACK

Lately Atlanta has been reemerging as hip-hops top city.  Today Migos, Raury, Childish Gambino, Future and many others are holding down for the ATL. For our throwback track of the week, we remind you of the men who introduced us to the city, Jermaine Dupri and Ludacris, with their track ‘Welcome to Atlanta’.
