Photo by Dan Garcia/The Early Registration

It’s almost that time again, when cowboy boots stomp through Twin Lakes, country anthems echo across the fields, and tens of thousands of fans descend on southeast Wisconsin for one of the biggest parties of the summer. Country Thunder Wisconsin returns July 17–20, 2025, and this year, it’s not just bigger and better, it’s historic.

That lucky festivalgoer, whose ticket gets scanned at just the right moment, will be crowned live on-site and awarded a once-in-a-lifetime prize package. (April’s Country Thunder Arizona winner, Lacey Culpepper, was attending for the very first time. So yes, this could be your year.)

As for the lineup? It’s a can’t-miss mix of country’s biggest hitmakers and rising stars, all taking the stage just a short drive from the Illinois border. Headliners this year include:

  • Cole Swindell, known for arena anthems and #1 hits like “She Had Me at Heads Carolina”
  • HARDY, a genre-blending force whose rock edge redefines modern country
  • Jelly Roll, one of music’s most talked-about crossover success stories
  • Dierks Bentley, a festival favorite with over 20 years of crowd-pleasing hits

Supporting acts include the likes of Tyler Hubbard (of Florida Georgia Line fame), the ever-energetic Gavin Adcock, rising powerhouse Ashley Cooke, Ashley McBryde, and 2025 ACM New Male Artist of the Year Zach Top—plus even more artists to be announced.

The sprawling Country Thunder grounds in Twin Lakes, WI, just under 90 minutes from Chicago, turn into a full-blown country music city each year, complete with campgrounds, food vendors, artist activations, and nonstop good vibes. Whether you’re a seasoned fan or a curious first-timer, the energy is infectious.

Country Thunder has built a reputation over its 21-year history not just as a concert, but as a four-day celebration of all things country—a place where new memories are made, friendships are forged in the campgrounds, and everyone’s a little more sun-kissed and country by Sunday.

Photos: Post Malone Rode Into Chicago and Stole the Show

Photo by Dan Garcia/The Early Registration

Post Malone’s music may be evolving, but one thing hasn’t changed: the man knows how to put on a show.

Performing under the lights at Chicago’s iconic Wrigley Field, Post brought the latest leg of his tour to the Windy City and gave fans a night packed with heart, hits, and a whole lot of twang. The setlist pulled from every era of his career—hip-hop, heartbreak, and now, honky-tonk—with fans singing along whether he was crooning country ballads or turning up to “Wow.” and “Congratulations.”

Leaning into his new cowboy persona, Post still showed plenty of love to the rap songs that made him a household name. From “Rockstar” to “Psycho” to “I Fall Apart,” he made sure longtime fans felt seen. But it was the new material that really gave the night its flavor. Country Post is officially here, and it works. Songs like “I Had Some Help” had the crowd swaying with their arms around each other, while the stripped-down acoustic moments gave the sold-out stadium a chance to breathe, cheer, and cry (yes, people cried).

Posty was in great spirits all night—grinning, sipping out of a red Solo cup, and thanking the crowd a dozen times over. And the visuals? Fire. Literally. With flames shooting up from the stage and a lighting rig that followed him like a spotlighted lasso, every moment felt tailor-made for your camera roll.

It was a reminder that even as Post Malone continues to genre-hop, his live show remains one of the most consistent and entertaining in the game.

Scroll down to check out our favorite photos from the night, and trust us, if you missed this one, make sure you don’t miss him next time he rides into town.

Last night’s iHeartRadio and 103.5 KISS FM Jingle Ball, at Chicago’s Allstate Arena, was a dazzling showcase of today’s top musical talents. The stacked lineup, announced with much fanfare, included a diverse array of artists like Jelly Roll, Big Time Rush, Doechii, (G)I-DLE and more. However, the evening took an unexpected turn just a day before with the unexpected cancelation of Nicki Minaj, arguably the lineups biggest headliner.

Nicki Minaj’s heartfelt tweet to her fans set the stage for this change. She expressed sincere apologies for not being able to perform, citing her excitement to see her Chicago fans and promising to make it up with details of her upcoming tour. Her announcement that Lil Wayne, whom she affectionately referred to as “(her) beloved brother/boss” and “the GOAT,” would take her place, was a testament to the strong bonds within the music industry.

Lil Wayne, stepping into Minaj’s shoes, proved to be more than just a replacement; he was a highlight. Weezy brought his unique energy to the stage for the evenings headlining set, ensuring that the audience didn’t feel the absence of Minaj too keenly. Performing some of his biggest hits and collaborations, Wayne proved why he’s a formidable force in the music world and an artist worth of filling the Allstate Arena on his own. His presence was a fitting tribute to the spirit of Jingle Ball – a celebration of music, diversity, and adaptability.

Hours before Lil Wayne hit the stage, K-Pop sensation (G)I-DLE kicked off the night with an international flair to the Jingle Ball. Their performance was a dazzling display of choreography and vocal talent, capturing the essence of the global music scene. The group’s charisma and polished act were a hit with the crowd, illustrating the universal language of music with catchy tracks like “TOMBOY” and “Queencard”.

Next up, “Area Codes” singer Kaliii, with her unique sound, provided a fresh and eclectic vibe. Her magnetic stage presence, created an immersive experience for the audience. Her performance was an early standout, showcasing her as an artist to watch in her genre for the coming years.

Big Time Rush,  who warmed up fans in the middle of the evening’s lineup, brought a wave of nostalgia with their performance and a reminder of their timeless appeal. Their energetic set, filled with their greatest hits and capped off with their biggest single “Boyfriend”, had fans singing along, reliving cherished memories.

Doechii took the stage with a burst of energy and charisma. Her short-but-sweet, 15-minute set was a vibrant mix of rap and R&B, showcasing her versatility as an artist. Her performance of her single “What It Is” was not just entertaining but also a powerful display of her lyrical prowess and stage presence.

Setting the tone for Weezy, Jelly Roll’s presence added a soulful dimension to the evening. His raw, emotive delivery resonated with the audience, demonstrating his unique blend of country and hip-hop, where he not only performed his mega country hits like “Need A Savor” but also a blend of some of his favorite hip-hop tracks from decades past. His performance was a testament to the genre-blending nature of modern music.

Each artist, in their own right, brought something special to the Jingle Ball stage. The night was a celebration of the diversity and richness of the music industry, from Lil Wayne’s hip-hop mastery to (G)I-DLE’s K-Pop spectacle, and from Jelly Roll’s soul-stirring tunes to Kaliii’s innovative sounds.

Chicago’s 2023 Jingle Ball was a resounding success. Despite the last-minute lineup change, the concert was a testament to the power of music in bringing people together. The variety of genres and styles represented by the artists created a vibrant tapestry of sounds, making it a truly memorable night. The event not only entertained but also supported a noble cause, with part of the proceeds going to the Ryan Seacrest Foundation. It was a night that celebrated the holiday spirit, the joy of music, and the unity it brings, leaving the audience with lasting memories of a festive evening filled with exceptional performances.
