Listen to a New Version of Kanye West’s “All Day” Track

Kanye West is notorious for continuing to perfect the mixing and mastering of his tracks, even after their official release. That’s why we weren’t surprised to learn that his new record ‘All Day’ ft. Theophilus London & Allan Kingdom (buy it now on iTunes) has been remastered. As heard on streaming service WiMP (available in select European countries, and recently bid on by Jay-Z), the new mastered version of ‘All Day’ has a few subtle but still noticeable changes. For example, the vocals echo when Kanye says “All Day, n*gga” and synths in the track also stand out more. Throwback Thursday Review: Reasonable Doubt | Jay Z

On Thursdays we review albums that are considered “classic” and today we review Hov’s classic LP Reasonable Doubt. Embracing the East-coast mafioso style with enough 1990’s New York street vernacular to fill a concert hall with, Jay Z started his monumental career with his crowning achievement, Reasonable Doubt. Today, Jay Z is involved with such a multitude of business ventures that his music has started to fall victim to the stresses and pressures of pop culture. This was not at all the case of his early work, which was rooted in Jay’s struggle to make a name for himself. Now-a-days Jay Z touches a track and the internet crashes, regardless of its quality. The man has nothing left to prove to anyone, yet he still makes music which is admirable. The problem is that it is nowhere near the caliber of Reasonable Doubt. There was a definitive passion in the way Jay Z rhymed that forced you to pay attention. He commanded each song with the finesse of a veteran.

According to a recent interview, producer Symbolyc One (S1) revealed that ‘Guilt Trip’ off Kanye West’s latest album Yeezus was originally intended for his collaborative album with Jay-Z, Watch The Throne.

Kanye West, Jay Z & Frank Ocean Facing Infringement Lawsuit

The hit single “Made in America,” from Kanye West and Jay Z’s critically acclaimed collaboration album Watch the Throne, is now the subject of a $3 million dollar lawsuit. New York artist Joel Mac claims that the song, which features Frank Ocean and Mike Dean, copies the lyrical themes of his 2009 track, also titled “Made in America.”
