It’s still freezing in Milwaukee, but that won’t stop music fans in Wisconsin from counting down the days until Summerfest, the city’s huge summer music festival.
And to get the ball rolling, festival organizers surprised fans with three big announcements, the first headliners that will perform at the festival’s brand new American Family Insurance Amphitheater. Headlining for their respective days will be Halsey (with Logic), James Taylor (with Bonnie Raitt) and the return of Florida Georgia Line, which was just announced this morning.
Tickets for the above concerts will go on sale at various times, so be sure to visit Summerfest.com for tickets and more information, and stay tuned as the ground stage headliners and more amphitheater headliners will be announced in the near future.
Easily the most diverse stadium tour of the summer, country music stars Florida Georgia Line have recruited a few big names to their Smooth Tour 2017. Joining FGL on their forthcoming tour will be rapper Nelly and boy band legends, the Backstreet Boys, as well as country’s emerging star, Chris Lane.
Currently the stellar lineup is scheduled to make three stops throughout the United States. First making an appearance at Fenway Park in Boston on July 7th, next at Target Field in Minneapolis on July 29th, and last but not least, the historic Wrigley Field in Chicago on August 12th.
Fans can visit Florida Georgia Line’s official website for more information, tickets and additional tour dates. So if FGL and their huge lineup of supporting acts are coming to a city near you, make sure to not miss out.
Yesterday kicked off the 48th Anniversary of Milwaukee’sSummerfest, the World’s Largest Music Festival. Unlike many other premiere music festivals, Summerfest (which runs until July 5th) brings an especially diverse list of performers to Milwaukee’s lakefront every year, creating for a festival where you can see Kanye West (who performed in 2011) share the same stage as Peter Gabriel and Kid Rock. So to get things started for The Early Registration’s first year at Summerfest, we had to catch a wide variety of acts on day one!
