Even more than the internet loves Arthur memes, Chance The Rapper loves the Arthur Theme Song. A catchy nostalgic record from a beloved childhood cartoon, that Chance has flipped a number times in the past, this time the Chicago rapper teamed up with Ziggy Marley and Stephen Colbert to make an official recreation for The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.
No one is having more fun than Chance The Rapper in music today, and this fun collaboration is another example of just that. Chance’s momentum isn’t slowing down, so be sure to catch one of his huge headlining festival performances in the summer.

Bonnaroo announced its huge lineup for 2017 earlier this morning, and it’s just as big as ever. And as always the talented is spread out from top to bottom, as Major Lazer, Lorde, The xx, Travis Scott, Cage The Elephant and many more will also perform at the Manchester, TN festival.
This year Bonnaroo will return on June 8th to the 11th, and you can expect The Farm to deliver as it always has in the past. Probably the most unique of the top tier music festivals, with so much to do (even beyond just the music), Bonnaroo should be on everyone’s bucket list.

New York’s Governors Ball has announced its official 2017 lineup, and wow is it deep. Topping the lineup this year are names like Tool, Chance The Rapper, Phoenix and Childish Gambino, and the quality of talent stays high from top to bottom. Also performing at New York’s Randall’s Island Park from June 2nd – 4th this year will be Lorde, Cage The Elephant, Flume, Wiz Khalifa, Wu-Tang Clan, Phantogram, YG, Mac Demarco, Banks, Tove Lo and many more.
Perhaps the biggest winner with today’s announcement, besides New Yorkers of course, is Chance The Rapper who is second billing for the entire festival. A rapper who was relatively unknown on a wide scale, opening for Childish Gambino in intimate venues only a few years ago, is now one of the top headliners on a major music festival, many miles from his hometown of Chicago.
And don’t forget to get your wristbands for this amazing lineup at Governors Ball’s official website when they go on sale this Friday (1/6) at 12PM EST.

Earlier this year, Chance The Rapper invited John Legend to perform at his record breaking Magnificent Coloring Day in Chicago, and now the two have teamed up again, as Legend recruited Chance for his brand new track, ‘Penthouse Floor’. Premiering early today, on Zane Lowe’s “Beats 1”, as the “world record of the day,” the new track can also be heard on Legend’s forthcoming studio album, Darkness and Light.
‘Penthouse Floor’ is just one of a few exciting collaborations on Legend’s new album, which is set to release on December 2nd via Columbia Record this year. With collabs from Chance, Miguel, and the Alabama Shakes’ Brittany Howard, and of course Legend’s soothing voice all throughout, Darkness and Light is certainly an album not to sleep on.

Today kicked off the return of rapper Common’s hometown music festival, AAHH! Fest, at Chicago’s Union Park. After an inaugural year in 2014, which saw performances from Kanye West, Jennifer Hudson, Common, Lupe Fiasco, Twista, Jay Electronica and more, the festival took a year off in 2015 but returned this year bigger than ever, now growing into a 2-day event. And in order to warm things up for Sunday’s lineup, which will feature performances from J. Cole, Ice Cube, Vic Mensa, Jeremih, The Roots and Sir The Baptist (just to name a few), today was the festival’s Community Day, ran in association with Kanye West’s foundation Donda’s House.
Fans in attendance today not only saw some of Chicago’s most talented young artists, including John The Author, DJ Mike P, The Pack Drumline, Retro Gibson, the J. Money Dancers and more, but Chicago also was treated to sets from Tink, rapper Taylor Bennett and Dreamville’s Omen. And just because it was the Community Day, doesn’t mean that it didn’t have some star power of it’s own, as the festival saw a huge surprise appearance from Chance The Rapper, who was already hosting his own festival a few miles south at the U.S. Cellular Field, as well as an opening appearance from SAVE MONEY’s Vic Mensa.
With a great showcase of some potential future AAHH! Fest headliners today, the stage is definitely set for tomorrow’s festivities. Chicago not only had a chance to cheer on their city today, but today was also a reminder of Common’s commitment to Chicago through his Common Ground Foundation, set to bring jobs, education and inspiration to the Windy City.
Check out our photos from the Community Day of Common’s AAHH! Fest 2016 below.

Reportedly an extra and unreleased track from his recent LP, Coloring Book, Chicago’s Chance The Rapper has released an all-star collaboration with ‘Living Single’. Recruiting the talents of GOOD Music‘s Big Sean, St. Louis MC Smino and fellow Windy City native, Jeremih, ‘Living Single’ is stacked. Everyone holds their own on this one, from the record’s gospel influenced vocals throughout the track to Smino, Chance and Sean’s equally impressive verses. According to rumors, this track was originally supposed to feature J. Cole, which would have made the collaboration even bigger. Let’s only hope that Chance has even more collaborations in the vault.
