After a memorable performance at The Metro months ago, Canadian singer/songwriter Alessia Cara returned to Chicago for Part II of her Know-It-All Tour, with an even bigger performance at the historic Chicago Theatre. And as an treat to fans, this time around Cara brought two talented emerging artists on the current leg of her tour, with Ruth B and Nathan Sykes.
Up first for the night was English singer, Nathan Sykes, first known for being a member of the British boy band, The Wanted. Now focused on his solo career, Nathan has been an exciting emerging name in music since he teamed up with Ariana Grande in 2013 for ‘Almost Is Never Enough’. Currently, Sykes is just weeks away from the big release of his debut LP, Unfinished Business, which is slated for a November 4th release. Tonight Sykes performed a number of his new records, expected for his debut. Highlights of his set included his performances of ‘Kiss Me Quick’ and ‘Over and Over Again’.
Next up, the lovely and talented Ruth B stepped on stage to greet her Chicago fans. Just 21 years old, Ruth B is new to music, but already has the qualities of a music veteran. Only a year and a half ago, Ruth B wrote her first song, ‘Lost Boy’, which soon after grew into a pop hit, and now she is touring North America in front of thousands. Ruth B alternated between her stripped down and slower songs, while also keeping energy levels high with her more upbeat tracks. Everything from her vocal skills to her stage presence is impressive, when she still has so much time to grow. With her hit record ‘Lost Boy’, the Canadian singer is 1 for 1, but you can hear more from her on her 2015 EP, The Intro.
After a brief intermission, it was time for Alessia Cara to hit the stage. Opening with her track, ‘I’m Yours’, which can be heard on both her EP, Four Pink Walls as well as her debut album, the crowd was instantly ready for a great performance. The ‘Here’ singer then followed with performances of ‘Four Pink Walls’, ‘Wild Things’ and ‘Overdose’, one of our favorite records from her debut. Highlights of Alessia’s set were her beautiful cover of Frank Ocean’s record, ‘Swim Good’, and of course her anticipated performance of ‘Here’, a record that transformed Cara into one of pop music’s most exciting artists.

Currently on the second leg of her Know-It-All Tour, which continues this week with stops in Chicago and the historic Radio City Music Hall, Alessia Cara invited singer and tourmate Nathan Sykes on stage for a very special performance of her record, ‘Stone’, off her 2015 debut LP.
While ‘Stone’ originally features singer Sebastian Kole, who produced the majority of Cara’s debut, Sykes certainly complements the track well. And if you like what you hear, you can catch Sykes as a supporting act of the Know-It-All Part 2 Tour, and his solo debut album, Unfinished Business, is set to release on November 4th.

This one has something for everyone, so get your tickets now before they are all gone. The Jingle Bash is definitely a can’t miss show in 2016.

Alessia Cara blew us away last year with her memorable headlining tour, the Know-It-All Tour, named after her debut LP. Cara made a number of stops throughout North America, including a special visit to The Metro in Chicago, IL. And although Alessia is still on tour with Coldplay, the ‘Here’ singer has announced Part II of her Know-It-All Tour, which will kick of this fall.
Making its first stop in Maryland on September 29th, Alessia will make stops in New York, Detroit, Chicago’s historic Chicago Theatre, and more until the tour concludes in early November. Cara won’t be alone either, as she will be joined by by ‘Lost Boys’ breakout singer, Ruth B. This will certainly be a can’t miss tour of the fall.

Hours ago, South African ‘Youth’ singer, Troye Sivan, released a new version of his track ‘Wild’ (which originally released in 2015), this time with some new vocals from the lovely and talented Alessia Cara. Canada and South Africa make for an awesome team on ‘Wild’, as the ‘Here’ singer complements Sivan’s record perfectly. You can check out the record now, and let’s hope that the two team up again for some new music.

Earlier this week, the lovely and talented Alessia Cara teased a remix to her second single ‘Wild Things’, from her debut album Know-It-All. Recruiting the talents of ‘Me, Myself & I’ rapper G-Eazy, Cara and G-Eazy go well together on the addictive record. While the Canadian singer’s parts remain unchanged, G-Eazy gives a great verse to the record. Alessia Cara, while pop, has definitely been embraced by the hip-hop community so we are excited to see more of her rapper collaborations in the future.
Last weekend we caught Alessia Cara’s sold out Chicago stop on her Know-It-All Tour. With a packed crowd at The Metro, just across from Chicago’s historic Wrigley Field, the night was set to be a memorable one. And despite worry that the show may get cancelled due to an illness that forced Alessia to postpone the previous night’s show, the show went on and Alessia found her voice and delivered! Saturday we posted some of our favorite photos from the show, and today we have our video recap of the awesome performance, shot by our photographer Dan Garcia.

Alessia Cara’s catchy record ‘Here’ is not only the Canadian singer’s smash #1 single, but it is also one of the best records released last year, a song that speaks to a different crowd than most Top 40 hits, but yet is surprisingly relatable to many. One person that can relate to ‘Here’ is Logic, Cara’s Def Jam labelmate and a rapper who hasn’t been afraid to admit that he likes to stay home and kick it instead of poppin’ bottles in the club. So it’s only right that Logic hopped on ‘Here’ for an awesome Def Jam remix of the hit record, and it totally works!
